Here's the catch. Bush was my president. 2001... 2002... 2003... In fact he was pretty much my president until the end of 2003. I didn't like him. Yes, I thought he was illegitimately given the presidency. BUT, I recognized him as president.

The things that made him not my president, honestly, was the botched restoration in Iraq with no-bid contracts to Cheney's old cronies. Abu Garib. Spying on Americans...

And... ironically... a little online web show called 'the pinky show' in which an animated cat calmly and systematically examined the question of was the invasion of Iraq criminal or not. I had never considered the question of pre-emptive war being legal or illegal under international law. In fact, it is horrible illegal and a violation of not just American law but international law as well.

So just because my guy lost the presidency, twice, didn't make me start publicly criticizing Bush. It was the things that Bush did over the first YEARS of his presidency that cost him my support. So, I don't feel I am out of line expecting those who didn't vote for Obama to give him the benefit of the doubt for the first two years or so. If he hasn't won you over by 2010 then by all means, let the roaring being. But give him at least those two years of cautious and supervised trust before you start yelling about doom and failure.

Palin and McCain should do what Blackwater has done...Change thier name and hope that the American People forget you.

Nancy Pelosi is quite a charactor in herself. She has spent her 30 years in government supporting the killing of unborn American children by calling it "pro choice"; she rewards laziness in Americans by calling it "welfare" and she trashes our founding fathers by calling it "enlightment".

Why should anyone expect anything different from her daughter.

I haven't seen the documentary yet but I give Nancy Pelosi credit for raising a very confident seemingly well adjusted fair, and balanced likable person/ daughter...are we SURE this is the speaker of the house.. Nancy Pelosi's daughter?
