Arnold Schwarzenegger Says He'll Scoop Up GOP Govs' Stimulus

Arnold gets the Perrier from me this week for putting game-playing GOP governors in their place at the National

Governors Association meeting. From Politico:

"Everyone has their own way of thinking," Schwarzenegger said of those governors in an interview with POLITICO at the National Governors Association's annual meeting. "I just hope they give me their funding."

Schwarzenegger supports President Barack Obama's $778 billion stimulus, but four Republican governors have said they may reject some of the stimulus funds.

The AP, meanwhile, has video of other Gov's trying to rationalize taking, or not taking, the money. My favorite is Tim Pawlenty, who's doing it "because it's the law." Yeah, you don't want to end up in "stimulus jail."

It's funny to me that Pawlenty and stimu-rejector Bobby Jindal were he GOP's "bench" for VP picks. Can you picture any of these guys a heartbeat away?
