Bobby Jindal is a Brady Bunch Sleeper Agent

This has got to be one of the most bizarre attempts to score points against a politician that I've ever seen. Max Blumenthal at The Daily Beast has the scoop on the sinister origins of Bobby Jindal's first name. He first alludes to it in the subtitle of his article:

Did you know about the exorcism? The name that came from The Brady Bunch? Those and other surprising facts about one of America's fastest rising young politicians.

No way! What name? Was there a cousin Jindal in later seasons? Did Sam the Butcher reveal his last name in a "lost episode?" Blumenthal elaborates:

Born in Baton Rouge in 1971, Jindal rarely visited his parents' homeland. His birth name was Piyush Jindal. When he was four years old, Piyush changed his name to "Bobby" after becoming mesmerized by an episode of The Brady Bunch.

Mesmerized by an episode of The Brady Bunch? Was it the one where Marcia and Jan had that pillow fight?

Look, I'm no fan of Jindal's, but this is a reach. I read the context carefully, and there is not a trace of tongue and/or cheek. I'm not sure what the point is, but it sounds like he's trying to paint Jindal as a self-hating Indian who will one day snap and play ball in the house.

Fair is fair, when there's a legitimate reason to go after someone, I say "Have at it." But this is silly.
