The Democratic National Committee, and its Chairman Tim Kaine, hope they'll get to send Rush Limbaugh a
"Thank You" card in the near future. They're raising funds on the strength of Democratic disdain for the conservative radio personality. Via email:
Did Kaine just call Steele "chickensh**?"
Considering public apathy toward Rush, this is a good move by the Democrats. The Republican base is more than willing to follow Rush Limbaugh off a cliff, while regular Americans don't feel that special feeling up the leg when Rush bloviates about hoping the President, and by extension, America, fails.
Here's the thing that Steele, Jindal, and all of the other Republicans who fall in line with Rush don't realize. 12 million is impressive for a radio audience, but for a competitive political pwrty, not so much.
"Thank You" card in the near future. They're raising funds on the strength of Democratic disdain for the conservative radio personality. Via email:Nearly every Republican in Congress voted against the Recovery plan. Instead, they're following Rush Limbaugh, who last week reiterated his hope that President Obama fails.
And yesterday, after doing the right thing and denouncing Limbaugh's comments, the chairman of the Republican National Committee called Limbaugh to apologize.
Following Rush Limbaugh and the failed attack politics of the past -- as Republicans are doing -- is not the kind of leadership that's going to get America back on a path to strength and prosperity. So it's going to be up to us to lead the way.

Thanks,
Gov. Tim Kaine
