Obama's business model seems to be to copy California. Make Hope and change promises to the masses and have "the rich pay for it. California, the 8th largest economy in the world, has been doing just that for some time now and it has resulted in an over 40 BILLION dollar budget deficit.
California politicans have made a political living making promises for votes and taxing "the rich" to pay for them. Tired of beening taxed to death "the rich left California in droves. Still making promises but running out of "the rich" to tax California increased taxes on businesses. Businesses started top leave California, which now has a 10% unemployment rate. Surrounding states are ACTIVELY recruiting businesses to move out of California, offering lower tax rates.

In a BROAD sense this is the Obama business model and it has worked SO WELL in California. We are just a few years behing what has happened to California and you give him an A?

California has milked the teets off the cow and THEY are paying for it. Pandering to all those about to get something for nothing Obama gets an A but what happens when the well runs dry, as it has in California, then what?

All the columns and features on AOL news posts have been overwhelmingly hostile to the President and his efforts to correct the tragedy that was Conservative rule. Why hasn't AOL yet mentioned the revelation of Bush's torture memos? That the Repubs took advantage of 9-11 like the Reichstag Fire to run our country like a Banana-Republic and disgraced American values?

I gave Obama 3 D's and an F. He's creating further problems for this country that were created in the first place by Barnie Frank, Chris Dodd and their buddies at Fannie and Freddie.

In 2005 Bush tried to reign in both Fannie and Freddie, but couldn't get those nitwits in congress to agree to it.

Don't blame Bush for our current financial mess. Place the blame where it belongs - Congress, the Clinton Administration (they deregulated banks and then pressured them to lend to questionable borrowers), dishonest realtors for pushing people into more house then they could afford, dishonest lenders for these gimmicky loans and questionable lending packages, AIG and some investment banks for creating the credit default swaps to begin with.

Suffice it to say, that there is no leadership at all coming out of the WH.

Obama, Pelosi and Reid are acting like kids in a candy store with a blank check signed by their Uncle Sucker. Hillary isn't far behind with her cockimainie call for $900 million to rebuild Gaza.

What a bunch we sent to Washington! We'll be lucky to keep our country from defaulting to the Chinese!

1) Economy; avoidance of any tax cuts for individuals and/or corporations shows how ill-informed he is on what PRODUCES prosperity.
In this situation, Government intervention and the indirect taxation that will occur to ALL Americans will bring the American public down to much worse
living standards then we now have.
2)Healthcare; The socialization of healthcare has been shown time and time and time again to destroy any semblence of "good" healthcare, (Canada, England, etc...).
3) National Security; let's see, advising that defense will be de-funded, advising that the missile shield program will not be continued, (not to mention the use of the missile shield as a negotiating ploy...with RUSSIA????).
Then there is the comprehensive immigration crap that opens our borders to Mexicans, and any other illegal foreigner (read terrorists).
4. Environment; This nutjob is disregarding current scientific findings that Global Warming has peaked and is actually moving toward Global Cooling, (READ: NATURAL CYCLE as seen in undisputable geological formations).
Obama will go down as the most destructive President ever.

I don't know how you can give grades higher than D for anything. The hourglass has been turned over, and it is Obama's turn to lead; he is failing. The markets have no confidence in him, his appointees, his policies, or his understanding of capitalism. Sure, blaming Bush will work for a while, but sooner or later that dog won't hunt anymore, and he will be exposed as the clothes-less Emperor many of us feared he was back in the fall.

So far his administration gives the impression of "amateur hour". He is either purposefully trying to erode wealth in our country to exacerbate the crisis so he can make even more sweeping changes or he is inept in public relations (highly doubtful given the near flawless campaign her ran.)
I honestly do not know what to think -- is he willfully creating a crisis or is he just in over his head -- ie he can run for office well, but does not know how to adminimister once he is in office. Either way his policies and statements continue to erode confidence on wall street. Overall grade so far -

Obama is doing an excellent job. All the national polls that are done in a scientifically sound way are reflecting that most Americans approve of what he is doing. His approval ratings are the highest they've been yet, while in office. Obama has done nothing to deserve the scorn and hatred that is heaped on him by the losers on these blogging sites. He's trying to do what EXPERTS are advising him to do to get the economy moving in the right direction. He is civil and decent to his fellow citizens, no matter what party they belong to. The conservatives on this site look like a bunch of sore losers to me.

So most Americans approve of what he's doing? That's not much of a recommendation. After all, millions of flies eat $#!+ as well. If massive government debt and spending were the way to prosperity, wouldn't Africa be the richest continent of the planet? Why should Ogabe stop at $1T? Why not $500T or $600T, jeez, then we'd all be driving Maybachs and have our own private jets.

I actually think this clown's deliberately trying to fark the country; bankrupt us so he can realize his vision of Utopia: the peasants with bare feet eating rough bread and riding their bicycles to their phony "green" jobs in government, prostrating themselves to their new Muslim overlords.

On another topic, I just bought my wagyu beef, and am going to send the receipt in to the IRS in partial satisfaction of my tax obligation. Certainly Mr. Class Warfare Ogabe will give me a pass, given that he and his revolting cronies dine on such luxuries at the expense of the taxpayer themselves. They can hardly call me out on that, given that they're the most ethical people on the planet and would never practice hypocrisy.
