Senator Lisa Murkowski Takes a Tumble
Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) took a massive spill on an Alaskan ski slope Sunday, possibly tearing her ACL, and landing her in a wheelchair.And in case you were wondering, we're definitely not going to make the obvious poll numbers joke here.The ski patrol at the Alyeska Ski Resort south of Anchorage says the Alaska Republican tumbled as much as 300 feet.
A spokesman said Tuesday that Murkowski believes she tore two ligaments in her left knee during the fall Sunday.
Spokesman Mike Brumas says Murkowski also is "bruised and a little battered" and will have to use a wheelchair for several days.

If I had a choice of where I'd be injured, I'd pick alyeska. It's a truly beautiful destination reached from Anchorage by an equally beautiful drive.
