It was just for a day, but Rod Blagojevich filled in for the morning crew at WLSAM Radio in Chicago today. His guest list included ABC News' Ann Compton, D.L. Hughley from CNN and Joey Bland, the Second City actor who plays the former governor in "Rod Blagojevich Superstar."

Highlights included Blagojevich's interview with Hughley:

Blago: "D.L., I don't know how you do it. This is harder than being governor."

Hughley.: "And less dangerous, obviously."

And Bland's reaction to meeting his subject, "I feel like Laurence Olivier meeting Hamlet." When Bland invited Blago to perform with Second City, he said, "I'd like to play the U.S. Attorney and I'd be nice to the governor."

One guest who didn't make it on air was Jim Pethokoukis from U.S. News. Pethokoukis had been booked for the show, but got bumped, presumably because of the amount of time Blagojevich spent speaking off-script about himself, his hair brush, his nemesis (Gov. Pat Quinn), and his fate at the hands of an angry legislature, "I was hijacked from office!"
