Rep. Eric Cantor Hosts a Britney Spears Fundraiser

If there are three things that stimulate House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) even more than the president's economic package, they are tax reform, GOP fundraising, and Britney Spears grinding in dominatrix gear.

And not necessarily in that order...
There was more than one whip at last night's Britney Spears concert in Washington DC.

GOP aides confirmed to the Huffington Post that House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) attended the pop concert at the Verizon Center, where Britney appeared on stage brandishing a leather lash.
Cantor was ostensibly there to raise money for his campaign coffers, although we don't believe for a second that he wasn't singing along with the rest of the crowd. After all, Spears' hit "I'm A Slave 4 U" is almost a carbon copy of Cantor's home state anthem, "Carry Me Back To Old Virginny," which is about-- this is completely true folks-- a freed slave who longs to return to the plantation where he toiled.

Cantor's office did not deny that the congressman was among the throngs of teenage girls at Verizon Center, (many of whom donated their unused cell phone minutes toward future Cantor robocalls.) His staff did, however, inexplicably insinuate that Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) was also at the concert, which was then disproven by a reporter's call to Landrieu's office. Bizarre.

As for Spears herself, we're confident she contributed to Cantor's fundraising efforts by generously donating the jewel-encrusted whip she brandished on stage. Ah, family values.
