Start Spreadin' the News: Rush Hates New York

Rush Limbaugh came out guns blazin' against New York Governor David Paterson's $138 billion budget, but he couldn't just leave it at that. On his radio show Monday, the GOP's failmonger-in-chief took a swipe at the whole state. From HuffPo:
And I try to go as little as possible. If it weren't for hurricanes down here, I would never go up there. New York is the escape valve in case hurricanes are showing up in our area, because of the loss of electricity. So I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to look for an alternative studio somewhere outside New York, perhaps Texas -- another no-income-tax state -- and I'm going to get the hell over there, when a hurricane starts coming our way, 'cause I told Mayor Bloomberg: I'll be the first to lead the way.

...New York is probably going to celebrate that I'm not going to come back, and I know Snerdley. They hate me, so they're happy I'm not coming back. They're going to praise Paterson for driving me out, even though I am rarely there anyway.
When reached for comment, every New Yorker said, "Do you think that apartment is rent-controlled?"

Some residents fondly remembered Rush showing up for the first time. dressed as a Sith Lord, only to be told, "No, Rush, not that Empire."

The New York Mets released this statement:
Damn! There goes our best shot at a decent infield!
The irony is, Rush may have a point about that budget. $171 billion sounds like an awful lot, even for New York.
