As Beck has admitted, he is a "clown!"

I used to be a Repblican when young but noticed that way too many of the leaders were simply hateful !
This was particularly odd in that so many claimed to be "good Christians!"
These "Christians" too often don't want health care for even children, want to start wars or destruction like in Iraq or Gaza, and claim to be careful with money yet under Bush and the Republican Congress they spent and borrowed like no others before.
The Iraq War, if you figure in long term costs like borrowing and care for 30,000 seriously wounded, will be OVER $ 4 TRILLION, or $ 4,000 BILLIONS !!!

beck does ask poignant questions and he brings up great issues, BUT he acts like a 12 year old jerk.
His treatment the other night of the Conn AG was dispicable. Beck was rude, arrogant, nasty, etc. I have decided to discontinue watching his show and will go to CNN during that time slot. Its not hard to see that Beck thinks he is another Oreilly, who is a moron.

And yet "R. Ross" its the liberals, including the president, who are passionate about killing, ever hear of a thing called abortion? The death toll of children through abortion outways anything you just mentioned... and you're worried about healthcare...

Wrong, stephanie5104, liberals are not "for abortion" --they're for giving a woman the right to choose for herself what is best. Many women choose not to have an abortion, but it is THEIR RIGHT TO CHOOSE, not YOURS to tell them what they have to do.

Wow. Sure am glad the Democrats haven't just dumped 9 trillion into "big business" and "puffin and stuffin" big government programs that puts most of the money in the hands of the elite democrats! Thank you democrats for giving my unborn children health care! I know the system will be broke by the time my grandchildren need THEIR health care but, that's beside the point.

As far as Republicans being "good Christians", check it. There is no such things as "good Christians" in politics. Save a handful that don't have any real "change power". They are too far overbalanced. It's like those five or six or even 10 on one side of the see-saw and the rest of Congress, the Supreme Court and the new messiah administration on the other. Guess what, the "good Christians" can't tip the scale. They don't carry enough influence. It doesn't matter that more than 50% of America fall on their side, because for some reason or the other the "good Christian" people in the US of A, decided to teach the rightly criticized Republican convention, a thing or two and vote them out of Congress as punishment for spending like a Democrat! :D

As far as the war in Iraq goes, if we had NOT gone in, we'd probably be glowing today. Ok, maybe not glowing, but, I most DEF believe we would have been attacked. Fact is there were WMDs in Iraq. Not when we went in, but, had we gone in sooner we'd have been able to seize them. Satellite imagery showed convoys of trucks leaving those areas that the inspectors (before we went in) were supposed to inspect before they got there. The UN pussy footed around long enough, and I admit, we went along with it in the name of "diplomacy", long enough to give them a chance to get them out of the country before we attacked.

As far as Glenn Beck goes, heck yeah he's a clown! lol He's sooo entertaining. But isn't he a radio show? And a t.v. show host? Yeah, he talks about the world's state and matters of politics but does that mean he's can't crack a freakin' smile every now and then? Gee wiz, lol. Shoot, I got to give him a COOKIE cause most of the stuff he's predicting is pretty much what I believe to be right on the money and it's down right depressing! Ever heard the expression "gotta laugh to keep from crying"?

And back on the health care thing, cause I don't think I properly addressed it, I'm completely against "socialized medicine". To be honest I'm diametrically opposed to anything with the word "socialized" in it. All socialized means is government controlled for the "good" of the people. Mr/Mrs Ross, your view of our government is that they are pretty convoluted. Whether Democrats or Republicans. Can you please give me some examples of things that OUR government has had control of, in a social setting, that has worked out? The government, no matter who controls it is screws up everything. Why would you want to put our health care system or anything aside from roads and bridges, and our national defense in our governments hands? They've got the reverse Midas touch. Anything they get their hands on turns to CRAP! lol And I say that tongue in cheek, but it's TRUE. lol

I agree with you that the babies should have health care, so, here's what I propose. Set up a "socialized" program for children under the age of 18. BUT, instead of forcing everybody on the same program, like Obama wants to do, build the program THIS way....

If a child is covered by mom and or dad's insurance plans, they get that coverage and only have access to the government provided health care if that coverage lapses or in the event of a major life change, i.e. a terminal childhood illness that mom and dad's insurance won't cover. Mom and dad's still have to pay to the limits of coverage though before the socialized coverage starts.

Any children that have no coverage whatsoever will have full access to the government funded healthcare system.

Doctors will not be forced to participate in the socialized system and can continue their practice without interference from the govt, except in situations where there is a life and death situation, but, I think the law covers that already under emergency room treatment.

The gov't will procure pediatricians that choose to participate in the system, whether that be in full or in part (like donating 1 day a week for treating uncovered and or children unable to pay) or however many days they want to do it.

As far as adults are concerned, instead of holding a gun to my head and ordering me to pay for everybody else's in adequate health care, as well as forcing me to take coverage that I don't particularly desire to partake in, let compassionate, loving doctors who share the view that everyone is entitled to health care, see the needy people for free. DONATE their services. That's all that needs to happen. Let some good ol' country doctor who'll take a chicken in payment provide their health care. I'm also not belittling those doctors. God love them for what they are willing to do. If every doctor donated a day a week at a free clinic, we probably wouldn't be in this mess.

I guess what I'm trying to say, in all seriousness, is that yes, the Republicans (as Glenn Beck says on his show every day) SCREWED THE POOCH and did a heck of a lot more than drop the ball. They were prob one of the worst congress' in history...next to this one who on March 12th, 2009 topped out with it's highest approval rating in 4 years with 39%, up from like 12% in late 2008. With all that being said, I appreciate your passion, but, it's misplaced aggression. Both Dems and Repugs are all evil but I firmly believe the Repugs are the lesser of two evils. I don't care what people say. We're moving towards a Communist system of government and if you don't believe me, go look at www.cpusa.com and look at their platform. I'm sorry, I don't want to live in a Communist controlled state. I know it looks all pretty on the surface but there is a monster underneath. Just look at how many died under Stalin's rule. Or Karl Marx. We're heading down a slippery slope and I fear for our country. I vehemently oppose some of your political views but I'll defend your right to have them, and as a fellow countryman I don't want to see your rights taken away either. This is OUR country, both yours and mine. I hope I'm completely wrong. If you listen Glenn says that all the time, but, I don't believe I am and I fear it's too late to change the course of the flow of the tide.

We look at our political leaders as are they Republican or Democrat. When they the Republican or the Democrats political leaders are in charge of the nation and they do something that is un-Consintutional or wrong for the nation. We the people just start to blame each other and state, well it’s the Republicans fault or the Democrats fault. Well I hate to tell you all in the land. It’s our fault the people, for too long we have just sat back and blamed the other political party for the mistakes. There is no difference between the two political parties in Washington DC just their names. They the political leaders are corrupted by greed and drunk with power. The whole election process is broken, too many that are in politics are doing it not to help their fellow Americans, but to be rich and powerful. They only care about tightening their grip on your rights. Neither party now days are within the law of our land. The Constitutions states what the government can and can’t do, but for too long now it’s been re interrupted or just ignored. It was written by are founders, men who did not want to be taxed by a government a thousand miles away. No taxation without repetition. They fought against the strongest army in the world at the time to give us are Freedom. They also put that every American has the right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not guaranteed happiness the pursuit of it. When you abandon the Constution and say well it was written hundreds of years ago, so what. It is what this COUNTRY was founded on. If you turn your back on it or try to change the Language of it, you are turning your back not only on your rights, but the rights of all Americans. Plus you’re dishonoring all who have died, not only to give you that right, but all who died to protect that right.
The problems of today can all be linked back to bad government over the past hundred years or more. The government has become KING GEORGE THE THIRD. The people have reverted back to being only subject. To be used in the greater good of the government. ROMES gates are open the Barbarians are at the walls. The country is turning upside down and you have only one person to blame yourself. YOU LET ROME FALL

I think Beck is nuts personally. He is also dangerous. He may be the person who causes another to harm the president or someone else with his words. He is not very educated and it shows. He calls Obama a communist one week then figures ,no, he is a facist.

Recent polls that he is still speaking to the far right base who will believe anything bad they hear on the radio or tv. But they don't have the filters of education to filter out information that is patently wrong.

I fear for our country when Fox who calls itself Fair and Balance allows this kind of insanity night after night. Mark my words, there will be consequences. Free speech is one thing but what Beck is doing is a major distortion of facts that are twisted to fit a theory. He is a scary man and he and Hannity and Rush will be the persons I will personally hold responsible if anythnng happens to our president.

In this time of crisis as after 9-11. We should all act as Americans. We are in a fight here folks. A global crisis which means will need to cooperate with the whole global marketplace. Surely if given any other choice would Obama want to be in this mess. It was a legacy from GOP years of unregualated markets along with pushing too many folks into homes ( a Democrat idea here) So there is plenty of blame for this mess but only one way out. Working together and thinking of new ways out this mess. Give the man a chance. He may know just little more than you and I about scary market conditions.

I sure wish you all would stop saying liberals do not believe in traditional American values. I am a Liberal and I hold values that I considered good America values. Who are you to judge? That is the line that a lot of folks got angry with this fall. We are all Americans. We are just as good or better than you and I take great offense to this thinking.

I think that we must give our President a chance. We are not looking for entitlements just justice for the working middle class. Man wake up and do some reseach on who benefitted from tax cuts in the last 8 years. The upper 5%. And did it help? Did the jobs appear? I dont think so...by the 8th year of his office his economic bubble burst. And now we have a real mess. So look to your neighbor who is out of work and cant feed his family and gets unemployment (entitlement) and look at your aunt or granny who gets help medically and with her daily living bills ( medicare and social security)look at your neice or nephew who are in their 30s and are paying 40% of their income for health care coverage. Look at the drug companies who are making mark up on drugs that are sometimes up to 1000 %.

We need to address these issues as they are pushing up the cost of living and bringing down our real wages.

Tax cuts are the GOP answer but look who they go to...and they cut taxes borrowed trillions from China, Russia and Saudi Arabia...they fooled you by not putting the wars cost in the budget. Are you going to let them fool you again or will you do some research and come to some educated conclusion.

Well, I hope you are kidding. He does not scare me but I think he does scare away folks with half a brain. Where does he get his information from and why is he so rude to guest who dare to speak with him to explain why his notions might just be wrong. Does Fox train their entertainers to do that. Seems it is a pattern to me. He is dangerous. He floods the tv with half truths and you really believe them. A bit of detective work will make you understand the truths you see are founded in 1950s McCarthyisms. May God have mercy on him for the work he is doing is going to prove to be the work of right wing "lunes" (to borrow a phrase from O'Reilly.

It's Good to know that others feel the way my hubby and I do. We are scared to death of the future. Not so much for us, but for our children and grandchildren.
