BBC is even in on the action. I say this is an April Fool's Day joke. Here are

I mean, come on, that's not even a convincing picture. The iPod is clearly too big to be authentic, and why is the President holding it perfectly upright?? Is he afraid he'll spill the contents?
At one point, I asked Tapper directly if this was all an April Fool's Day joke,

PD toolbar!and was greeted with silence. I also have it on good authority that the British are very much into April Fool's Day, and are still convinced that the Declaration of Independence was a particularly elaborate, belated AFD stunt.
I could be wrong, but this seems to tie in with the British press' completely hissy overreaction to the gift that the President gave Gordon Brown,
a set of the best American movies.
