Huffington Post is running an item implying that President Obama has flip-flopped on the timetable for acquiring a new First Dog, a process that is proving to be harder than filling the Secretary of Commerce post. But does HuffPo have their facts straight? Is there a delay in pooch procurement?
The arrival of the first family's new dog has been delayed, but it will happen this month.
The First Lady's press secretary Katie McCormick Lelyveld says "definitely not this week," when asked for guidance on the arrival of the Obama's family dog.

President Obama has said the First Family would get the dog "after I get back from the G20 summit."

He has said the family had already selected the dog it wants.

So, what was the original plan? Luckily, I've been all over this story:
Michelle Obama tells People Magazine about the pooch timetable after spring break in April), plus some of the names they've been kicking around...
So, old timetable=sometime in April, after spring break. New timetable=sometime in April, after spring break. Flip-flop FAIL! Nice try, HuffPo. Peddle your right-wing attacks elsewhere.
