Al Franken Declared the Winner (Again)!
Have you heard the news? After more than five months of waiting, it appears we have a winner in the Minnesota Senate race. Strike up the band! Wake up the crowd at Democratic headquarters!
A Minnesota court ruled Monday night that Democrat Al Franken has defeated Republican Norm Coleman and should be granted the election certificate that will allow him to take his seat in the U.S. Senate.
Finally, the people of Minnesota will have two Senators doing their business once again. I mean, seriously, Amy Klobuchar could probably use a nap right about now. But wait, that was too easy, right?
The Coleman camp immediately vowed to appeal.
Argh. I forgot that the GOP strategy is to keep this tied up in the courts for "years", thus denying the Democrats another important Seante vote. Hey, isn't this the party that's supposed to be against frivolous lawsuits? Coleman has lost a string of legal decisions, but hope, it seems, is but another appeal away.

would have been nice to see the votes counted under the same rules, ie ones that are allowed or not allowed. Franken was able to get significant votes counted that under the same rules as Colemans were not allowed. not whining, it is just the facts. Which is why this will end up in the Supreme Court, guaranteed

If the proverbial shoe was on the "other" foot we would hear none of this whinning from our Republican friends. Bottom line is this, Coleman had one term to show the voters of this somewhat progressive state that he was his own man, instead he marched lock step with Bush right off the cliff. He had his five minutes of fame, go back to New York carpetbagger!

After the election when Coleman thought he was ahead, he derided Franken for not conceding, saying he was hurting the state's residents, in spite of the fact that BY LAW the votes have to be recounted when the election is that close. Once Coleman was behind, he kept appealing and dragging the thing on. What a hypocrite!

When will there be the expose that exposes the $$ and influence that has gone into blocking Franken assuming the MN Senate seat. I want to know how much PAC and RNC money has been sunk, and the connections, cross responsibilities, that the attorneys for Coleman have.
Talk about sore losers! Most Republicans simply have not been able to get over the 2006 and 2008 elections. Time for even the angriest and most hostile to move on....

Liberal Democrats have vote fraud (see acorn) down to a science nowadays. Once Obummer gets illegal hold of the Census which is supposed to stay in the Commerce Dept and not the White House, no one other than a liberal democrat will get elected to anything.
