This could be the closest Blagojevich has been to reality in a very long time.

I know it sounds like a joke, but the sources are legit, and it's not April Fools Day. Disgraced former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has agreed to star in NBC's "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" this June:(h/t Allahpundit)
CHICAGO (AP) - In the span of a few months, Rod Blagojevich (blah-GOY'-uh-vich) could trade the Illinois governor's office for the Costa Rican jungle.

NBC says it wants Blagojevich, who pleaded not guilty to federal racketeering and fraud charges Tuesday, to appear on its upcoming show "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!"

A network statement says 10 celebrities will be dropped into the Costa Rican jungle "to face challenges designed to test their skills in adapting to the wilderness.
The Chicago Tribune broke the story when an attorney close to the defense told them of Blagojevich's impending request to have travel restrictions eased.

NBC hasn't announced the other 9 celebs who will join Blago, but I suggest the first thing they do is get Levi Johnston's agent on the phone.

This is a brilliant programming move on NBC's part. The trainwreck
aspect alone will make it a must-see for at least the first episode. There's little chance that a show starring Blagojevich will be dull, and the show will air against little competition this summer, so I think NBC could have a huge hit on their hands.

The Peacock had better pray that Blago's judge is feeling generous. They'll also need to find someone who can play "Flight of the Bumblebee" on the censor bleep machine. What? That's what they call it.

If this works out, it could mean a whole new career for Blagojevich. Today, reality TV, tomorrow, hosting The Price is Right?
