This woman is outrageous and should be locked away somewhere until she gets the proper medication in order for her to reenter polite society. I'd like to write a letter to every voter in her district asking what they were possibly thinking when they voted for her. Was the alternative SO bad?

Bachmann apparently inhabits a parallel universe. There's something seriously wrong with the woman. In addition to her peculiar accusations, she's promoting ignorance and blind hatred. By any standard, this is immoral.

If the GOP is serious about a comeback, they'll clearly and firmly distance themselves from such mindless inanity.

It's dangerous to dismiss Bachmann as mentally ill. It's easy to point at her wackiness and laugh, but let's not lose sight of what she really represents:


She is not a lone voice making noise. She was elected by a majority of the voters in her district. They apparently like the stuff she peddles.


She is a loyal Republican. Should we go along with the pretense that she makes this stuff up? The Party benefits by having an official representative make these horrid, racist, apparently mindless things, because then every other dittohead, Klan member, Teabagger and other coward too scared to contemplate difficult facts, gets to repeat what she says as if it were reliable because it comes from someone with authority.


I think that Bachmann is working with the Republican policy planners to create the cover of some "legitimacy" to the most horrid ignorance peddling they can get away with. If we simply dismiss her as a loon, we let her handlers succeed.

The Bush administration also issued such reports of extremist groups. Napolitano was wrong to single out veterans, I agree. But I think the Dept. of Homeland Security (again, started by the Bush administration) saying there could be a rise in some extremist groups with America's first black President is not exactly a stretch.
I also think Michele Bachmann is a prime candidate to head up one of these extremist groups.
