As Pejman Yousefzadeh succinctly points out, the Obama administration "is doing immense damage to the educational environment in D.C." through their botched handling of the school voucher issue. The President sends his children to a prestigious private school which, through his Administration's callousness, will soon see the exile of voucher students; disadvantaged students who will be shuffled off to the public school system. I guess you could could say Obama thinks they should be with their own kind. It goes without saying that if a Republican were kicking poor kids out of his own children's private school the reaction would be somewhat more ... agitated than that which greets Obama's disregard.

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.
