Miss California's Gay Education: All Men With Mustaches Are Gay

First, I want to clear a few things up. "Topless" means an unobstructed view of all available goodies. Therefore, the photo of Carrie Prejean currently circulating on the internet does not qualify. Do it again, and I revoke your right to call yourself a journalist.

As for "semi-nude," this is as useless a construct as I have ever heard. It's like being "semi-cured." Call me when you're done.

TMZ "obtained" an email that Carrie Prejean sent to the Miss USA pageant in which she claims only one topless, semi-nude picture was taken:

"This was when I was 17 years old. I was a minor. It was when I was first getting into the modeling world, being naive, and young. I shouldnt (sic) have taken the photo of me in my underwear. There are no other photos of me. This was the only one I took."

As I said yesterday, none of the principals in this pissing match impress me much, and Miss USA's shock at Carrie Prejean's ultra-soft core pictures are the latest in a nauseating saga. They make their bones objectifying women, then want to get all hissy when Carrie does a better job of it than they do? I don't think so.


As for TMZ's accusation that Carrie lied, I'm not even convinced of that. As I reported yesterday, there are 6 of these pictures in the pipeline, only one of which has been released so far. I am a betting man, and I would wager that all of these photos are from the same session. While this may be a technical lie, anyone with a lukewarm IQ knows you don't take 1 picture at a photo shoot.


I don't understand why Miss USA finds it necessary to bring this up at all. Carrie Prejean's lending of her crown to the heinous, anti-gay NOM should be enough to strip her of her crown.


Either way, with Maine now making gay marriage legal in 10% of the states, who really cares? Gay marriage is on the way, and Carrie seems like a nice enough person, so I'm sure she'll come around eventually. It looks to me like NOM bent her ear with a bunch of garbage about "protecting" marriage, and she went from thinking people have a choice, to wanting to take that choice away.


When gay marriage is the law of the land later this year, I'm sure she'll have a change of heart.
