I watched this dinner program last night. The humor, especially from Wanda Sykes was tasteless. These liberal elites have no Class.

I thought the joke about Cheney's autobiography, "How to Shoot Friends and Interrogate People" was hilarious. The whole "Rush Limbaugh doesn't count as a 'troubled asset'" thing was pretty good too. I just wish that the Dems would put more effort into showcasing Steele as the head of the Republican Party. Alcoholic rednecks and people brainwashed by Faux News actually see merit in Rush's ideology, but Michael Steele is just an embarrassment, plain and simple. Michael Steele is a very ignorant, misguided man. He is a wannabe; he wants to be Obama Barack. It deeply disturbs him that he cannot ever be such a person. Steele is what Black folk refer to as an old southern "yassa" "negro". The analogy would be that he was summoned from the plantation fields from doing his "tell overseer who ain't workin" chores, to "the kitchen to polish and count the silver." The only way to hold either position is to try and mock your own race purely for the sake of accolades from the "massa". This mentality is inbred in the man, and he cannot change. His lifelong exposure, experiences and training will not allow him to change. He feels inferior. He doesn't know anything else. This type of "negro" is the politics of the civil war and after American south for the most part. Sadly, Steele is helping the extreme right return this sad philosophy and ugly times to today's America. It will and cannot work.

Steele cannot rationalize that Black Obama is an extremely learned man with remarkable intelligence and composure predicated upon a total lack of an inferiority complex. Barack Obama doesn't have a need to be accepted by any other race purely because he is African American, and other races makes him feel inferior because of that. Obama feels human among humans, regardless of ethnicity. This is why Obama is likeable and trustworthy. It doesn't hurt that he is extremely intelligent, with an innate ability to parse, separate and integrate ideas and human needs with rationality. Steele will never succeed among self-accepting African and White Americans. He is a buffoon in the worst sense of the word. population. Steele can never accomplish this feeling of self worth and confidence within himself because he obviously has limited skills in multiculturial, and multiracial lifelong experiences. Why else do you suppose he was selected by the RNC to act as their "Black" figurehead.
