I was perfectly happy to say that Wanda Sykes told a tasteless, even reprehensible joke at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, and be done with it. She's a stan

d-up comic
known for pushing the boundaries, and she slipped up.
But after
listening to crap from the right about this all night, acting like this is the worst thing to happen since, well, Election Day, I can't take it anymore.
Literary puke Christopher Hitchens
leveled a vile, hateful attack against Sykes that wasn't meant to be a joke:
"The president should be squirming in his seat. Not smiling," he said. "The black dyke got it wrong. No one told her the rules."
I haven't heard "boo" out of the right denouncing Hitchens for this, yet they want to portray their poobah, Rush Limbaugh, who imagines that people
expect him to receive anal sex from the President just because he's black, as the poor widdle victim here.
Screw Rush, and screw Chris Hitchens. The fact that these two are assholes doesn't make Wanda Sykes right, but at least
the President and I have the stones to say she's wrong. Where are the conservatives denouncing either of these two trolls?

Our New Approach to Comments
In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers –
a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around.
