WASHINGTON---First Lady Michelle Obama hits the Big Apple again on Monday, meeting with arts and entertainment leaders. This visit is crafted, according to East Wing guidance, to allow Mrs. Obama to continue to demonstrate her interest in and support for the arts by attending the ribbon cutting for the Metropolitan Museum of Art American Wing. In the evening she will attend the American Ballet Opening Spring Gala at the Metropolitan Opera House.

Obama ran on a platform in support of the arts and performing arts as well ...but the primary has long been over ...now lets see if he will continue his support in deeds.... not just talk.

Actually, I am attending the ABT this evening. I had a lovely relationship with Laura Bush and her office for over five years. I have written Mrs. Obama two letters, faxed them directly to her office. Surprisingly, I have not received a response. Laura Bush and her staff answered every letter and inquiry I had. I have no further comment until after tonight.
