He has a point. The Obama Admin., like the rest of the liberals, literally do not care about the people of America. They have shown over and over that staying in power is more important to them than we and this country are. Do you still not see it? You would have a good point about Vegas lending a gambling hand to Detroit if not for the fact Detroit struggles with its bills already and doesn't need to lose more money.

If you read the article it says "over 400 conventions and business meetings scheduled to take place in Las Vegas recently have cancelled." Not people looking for a vacation, or tourists. BUSINESSES!!

In case you don't know, this is how Vegas makes it's money. Yea he didn't say all executives, but who would come here after he guilted everyone not to. And for those of you who don't live in Vegas, your comments are meaningless here.

Obama said these businesses should not go to vegas if they received a bail out. But Obama doesn't understand that this is the way these businesses work. They come here to hold their meetings and meet with other businesses and build clients. Yea, they spend money here and like I said this is how Vegas makes it's money.

However, these businesses build up their clientele and return to their homes with new opportunities to make more money for themselves in their cities, not ours. Maybe some of them are from DETROIT! So not only does it hurt Vegas's Economy but the economy of where these businesses are located.

In any case, it is a slap in the face that Obama would make a comment like that, disrespectfully decline a meeting to talk about it, and then decide that he himself is going to come here to raise money for himself. What a jack-a**!! At least I can say I didn't vote for him. And as far as Reid goes, good luck in 2010, you're gonna need it.

I really wish people would get off Obama's fu**ing nuts!! If you can't see how bad he's bankrupting our country, just passed his 100 days in office, then I guess ignorance is bliss for you. He can't even prove he's American Born!! You want the best idea of 2009? Impeach his a**!!!!

Maybe Vegas should altogether stop paying taxes. See how he feels about that!

I totally agree, with unemployment, and job security as it is at this moment, going to Vegas is far from many people's minds.

but that is not the point,

the point is we have a president, who really has no idea, what the hell he is doing, and unless you bow to him, he has no use for you.

and there is no written law, that says we have to support whomever is president.

Many of us love and support our Country first and foremost, and are much more concerned about keeping our homeland free, and preserving a way of life, not only for ourselves, but for future generations always and forever.

I'm with ya, bonbon. The problem is SO MANY PEOPLE listen to everything this man says - even when it makes no sense, is "double-speak", or directly conflicts with his action. This is what happens when someone is elected who has NEVER BEEN HELD ACCOUNTABLE for a bottom line, for meeting an annual budget, for personnel issues. It's all a big meeting, it's all about getting us to understand - why else would he be on TV every 4 - 5 weeks. AND, by the way, I have always been proud of my country, and proud to be an American. If I want socialism I'll move to one of the hundreds of countries run by tyrannists. Perhaps more people should travel overseas and see what it REALLY looks like with "government controlled" everything. Africa, anyone? California got it right today by voting down all of those tax hikes. It had to start somewhere, now we need to pay attention.

Maybe if we keep telling people what you are saying, they hopefully will wake up and obama will not get re-elected. I am afraid in just one term though, our country will really be hurt by the things that he will do.

You have no idea how wrong that statement is. Gibbons would rather impose a 6% to 17% wage reduction on all state employees than raise statewide sales tax by 0.5% or reform mining taxation laws that were drafted in 1860... that's when we were a part of the Utah territory FYI. He's a grotesque embaressment and even republicans in the state legislature ignore him now. Most humiliating? He actually thinks he has a shot at reelection.
