Ah, Springtime! That magical time of year when a young politician's fancy turns to engaging his political opponents through the use of rhyming couplets. But, wait! What's this through yonder window? I believe that would be Nancy Pelosi completely ignoring Mike Huckabee. Like many a scorned gentleman before him, though, he has found an outlet for his feelings in the soothing medium of verse.
O, poetry. Balm of the wounded soul! Igniter of intellects! Scourge of unjust kings and dictators! One can only imagine what taut political dialogue, what pointed dissections of folly, will flow from the pen of this angered bard:
Okay. So the first verse is maybe not so great. But, I'm not buying that the Intelligence Committee was entirely in the dark about waterboarding. Certainly, as the poem progresses, Huckabee will move away from sexist taunts about ambition and clothes, and burst forth into political critique with all the bristle and satirical force of an Arkansan Alexander Pope:
Or, not.

Here's a story about a lady named Nancy
A ruthless politician, but dressed very fancy
Very ambitious, she got herself elected Speaker
But as for keeping secrets, she proved quite a "leaker."

I think Speaker Pelosi has done too much speaking;
And instead of her trashing our intelligence officials, it's her nose that needs tweaking.
Or, not.
