Pelosi Liberal Media -Get a Sense of Humor

The liberal media has its knickers in a knot over a kinda funny political joke aimed at Speaker Pelosi.

The Republican National Committee made an a video and posted on YouTube that compared Pelosi to Bond Girl Pussy Galore. Frankly, I cannot defend the attempt at humor in the video, as Republicans are generally only funny to laugh AT - see Tina Fey's Sarah Palin or any Dick Cheney shot a man in the face joke - rather than make us LOL.

I do, however, give the RNC props for a rare effort at political humor in order to reach out to young, hip voters with this so-called viral video. The liberal media is freaking out about the ad, calling it offensive and demeaning to the first female Speaker. My response to Melinda is you need to watch the whole video from a policy standpoint because the message is that Pelosi is in serious political trouble for denying ever getting intelligence about water boarding and for challenging the integrity of the CIA.

The bigger issue is: do we allow Speaker Pelosi to let stand her declaration that she did not have intelligence that other ranking Members of Congress received on interrogation tactics of terrorists? And, do we let her get away with impugning the integrity of the American intelligence service, the CIA, which has effectively kept us safe from another terrorist attack since 9/11? I think she cannot hide from these questions and owes the American public some answers.

So the next time the liberal media has an interview with Speaker Pelosi, how about asking these policy questions instead of trying to change the discourse with absurdly calling Republicans misogynists.

The RNC has only one thing to apologize for, and that is not having someone on staff that is actually funny. Next time you guys attempt humor, call PJ O'Rourke first.
