Like all Americans on this Memorial Day, Barack Obama will be taking time to reflect on the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served--and who are presently serving--our country in uniform. For him, however, the day will likely be uniquely personal. Since taking office, approximately 120 U.S. troops have lost their lives serving in the two wars he has taken on the responsibility of leading as Commander-in-Chief.
The history of the United States is one filled with stories of great battlefield courage, sacrifice, complexity, and, yes, controversy. These stories span the globe from Japan to Baghdad, and often end in Arlington, VA. Our partners at SnagFilms.com have put together 11 of their finest military documentaries so that we may "honor the fallen, and to reflect on our own duties of remembrance and action."
