Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry is all over the news now because of his heinous statement on the murder of Dr. George Tiller:
It was in Denver, at the Democratic convention. Caleb and I were on our way out of the media party, which had been held at an amusement park. On our way out, Terry was hollering at all of us, into a bullhorn, to "have some integrity" and report about the 500 annual US infanticides.
At the time, I had no idea who Terry was, and even though I had read little about the "Born Alive Infant Protection Act," and had a couple of drinks in me, I decided to get me some integrity right then and there.
See, Terry had nothing because there is nothing. When I got back to the hotel that night, I checked, and I couldn't find any real data on the nightmare scenario that resulted in BAIPA, beyond anecdotes from "pro-life" advocates. Actually, one advocate, who collected other, anonymous anecdotes, too. There's more evidence of the existence of Sasquatch.
They say that sunlight is the best disinfectant, but you've got to be some kinda weak if you can't even hold up to a random, off-duty reporter. Randall Terry is a clown.
George Tiller was a mass-murderer. We grieve for him that he did not have time to properly prepare his soul to face God. I am more concerned that the Obama Administration will use Tiller's killing to intimidate pro-lifers into surrendering our most effective rhetoric and actions. Abortion is still murder. And we still must call abortion by its proper name; murder. This put me in mind of my first encounter with Terry.
