Despite the shock and sadness on both sides of the abortion debate when Dr. George Tiller was murdered, is that the true message of Tuesday's announcement from Tiller's family that his Wichita clinic will not reopen?

A statement, issued through lawyers, said: "The family will honor Dr. Tiller's memory through private charitable activities."
The suspect in Tiller's murder – while not admitting guilt – said in an interview on CNN that the closing of the clinic would be "a victory for all the unborn children."

Do pro-life activists believe this turn of events is a victory? In USA Today, Operation Rescue leader Troy Newman denounced vigilantism while reaffirming his group's right to fight abortion. And in an interview last week with the New York Times, he said: "Good God, do not close this abortion clinic for this reason."

Woman: My husband has been shot!

So why is a leader from a group like Operation Rescue (not exactly known for their subtle tactics) lamenting the closing of this clinic in Witchita? Likely saying one thing in front of the cameras, I have my doubts Mr. Newman is saying this behind them. After all, the clinic was bombed before, and Dr. Tiller was shot twice in the 1990's, so it was probably a matter of time before this happened. Never mind that abortion remains perfectly legal, some folks cannot be reasoned with. So, I guess the "kooks" (to quote Mr. Newman) win this round. And on it goes.

Tiller's family closing down his abortion clinic means nothing. In 36 years there were 46 million abortions in the US. That's equivalent to erasing all human life in Argentina, Costa Rica and Panama, with a million or two to spare.
Mark my word, there are abortionist standing in line waiting to take over Tiller's business. With neo-paganism well on the rise in the US, abortionist will always be in demand in the US.

This is a vitory for pro-life. The closing of the Tiller clinic provides a roadmap for success. Was it terrorism when John Brown broke into the federal armory at Harpers Ferry in an effort to lead a revolt to end slavery? Maybe so, but when society and the law have embraced an evil practice like slavery or abortion then force is the only thing that can mend. Nothing brought fear to the hearts of slave holders like John Brown and hopefully abortionists will soon know that fear. There is much to be learned from Tiller's death however e.g. long range shots are preferred to close up ones...victory will be won only if the defenders of life remain free to fight.

There is nothing more of a low life than a baby murderer. Especially when it is your own baby. These people make me sick!!! It is a fine line to say that murdering a killer is ok but how many babies did this sick sob kill in his lifetime. My main comfort is that he will pay again in hell!!!!!

Tiller the baby killer got Front page news and was acknowledged hours after his murder while The Islamic Muslim Jihadi attack that kills a U.S. soldier and wounds another on American soil is listed on page 16 of the lefty NYTimes and was acknowledged by the White House 3 DAY'S LATER. I have a question. Let's say that YOUR mother wanted an abortion but did not have access to a Tiller. If you could change the past, go back in time and alter this so that she could find a "doctor" who would remove the "lump of tissue, meaning YOU", would you agree to change the outcome and sacrifice your life so that your mother could abort you. Tell the truth now. This is your stated public opinion. Would you give up your life, retroactively so your mother could have a "choice"? Your answer says everything that can be said.
