How President McCain Might Have Handled Iran

ANYTHING IS BETTER than President Dingle Barry sitting around with his thumb up his butt whining while looking clueless what to do.

It's safe to assume he is planning another APOLOGY TOUR to deal with the situation.

Who said that Mousawi is different from Ahmadinejad ? At the end of the day who calls the shots in Iran is the Supreme Ayatollah and not the Prime Minister or President. They are just puppets. The puppetmasters are in the madrassas.

Big question: Are the protesters going to displace the ruling Ayatollahs?

Let me get this right.

You condemn Iran's leadership and then what? You ruge the protesters on, give Iranian leaders reason to blame foreigners and will you move in when they begin to wipe out? Or will you sit it out like Bush Sr. did when he urged the Kurds to go after Saddam and when Saddam descended on them Bush did nothing.

Obama had a smarter idea. But the crowd that want things to remain the same will never understand it.

I thank god every day that McCain is not in office. We bore the burden of Iraq by interfering before they had a chance to themselves, and they were in the process of doing so. Instead we interfered and displaced a million Iraqi's, killing well over 100,000.

McCain is unhinged. We need to let the Iranians handle this themselves, we need to let them know we support them, but we also need to remember that we are disliked by many of those hated even by some who are now protesting their own situation.

Moral exhortation is not the way to sole problems, political action is and the Iranians are doing that. Let them have at it.

You may also want to look into Mousawi, his followers and his view on this country.You also need to have a greater understand of exactly what they mean when they shout or hold signs saying "Allahu Akbar". Islamism and the basic tenets of Islam are different, the protest hinge on that, and the difference that occurred with the absconding is what the people are protesting. I say let them get to it, but as they didn't involve themselves in our election in 2004 I say we leave them alone right now.

McCain is mindless in this and it's disappointing a political sight allows people to write on things they have no real knowledge of.

The office of the presidency is above Obama's pay grade. And his followers are cool with that.

Some will say Obama's options are limited. I say he is the one limiting his options. To hear the liberal blathering class tell it, you'd think Obama was the President of Lithuania, not the Leader of the Free World, and President of the United States. Obama comes off like he's campaigning for Mr. Congeniality at the Passive Aggressive World Pageant.
McCain would stand for democracy and fair elections, but then again, he's a man. Maybe the fair elections thing is a sensitive issue with Obama. One thing is for sure, if there is anything more limited than Obama's options it's his courage, or his knowledge. Or experience, or his backbone. If a particular course of action has risks to his popularity, and does nothing for his friends, Obama doesn't care. Obama has once again shown how little he cares, whether it's the citizens of Iran who are deprived of their rights, or the safety and continued existence of Israel. Obama is decidedly NOT a champion of Democracy. The real question is, is he an enemy to democracy? When has he stood strong for Democracy?

As to doing nothing, Obama is good at that. As to foreign policy, not so good at that.

Why would Obama stand up for fair and honest elections? Shouldn't he practice what he preaches? His election was fraught with as much corruption as the Iranian election. Maybe he could send a team of experts on election fraud over to Iran to help them figure it out. Obama has access to the finest election fraud people on earth: you would know them as ACORN.

Would North Korea or China be such a threat if Truman would have let MacAthur defeat North Korea and China in the Korean War. Truman fired him because he was afraid of MacArthur's popularity, and thought he might return victorious and run for president. Another democrat putting personal power over the good of the country.

Would millions have lived in horrible conditions in eastern Europe if we would have had the balls to tell the bankrupt, war weary, Russian communists to get their asses out of eastern Europe? No.

Would Castro ever have had Russian nuclear missiles pointed at the U.S. if Kennedy had any balls, and would have honored his promise to provide air support for the Bay of Pigs invasion? No. And we wouldn't have had to worry about the potential nuclear war that almost happened as a result of Kennedy's pathetic dereliction of duty.

Obama won't do anything, and to hear the craven counsel of the liberal foreign policy "experts", that's the prudent thing to do. I mean, after all, things are really great right now as it is with Iran. Oh sure, they supplied sophisticated IED's to Al Queda to kill our troops with in Iraq. And they trained insurgents to defeat us in Iraq. And they financially support more terrorists than anyone on earth. And they are behind the evil, genocidal Hezbollah. And they have threatened to "wipe Israel off the map" many times. And let us not forget that Iran is very near to having nuclear weapons. Hell, things are great the way they are. Let's not rock the boat, say the Wormtongue seers. I'm sure conditions will improve AFTER Iran gets its nukes. People who have nukes are always easier to deal with.

I have a question for the geniuses who say we should do nothing: How the hell does anything we do hurt our relationship with Iran? The leadership in Iran already HATES the U.S., and Israel. Is anybody stupid enough to think that ol' Blue Lips is functioning as a true leader when all he can muster in support of people seeking freedom and justice is his pathetically spineless, feckless mutterings?

Clearly, Obama's only goal, as he stands on the international stage, and comments on this poignant struggle of totalitarianism vs democracy, is how he can seem concerned without hurting his chances for later diplomatic success that will redound to his glory.

Excellent article. Many great points, and the greater the point, the higher it flies over the heads of certain readers. This country seems to be enslaved to the tyranny of shackled intellect.

Why dont all who complain about OUR PRESIDENT....move to iran and help out with your ideas and ignorant methods of dictatorships.....
