(via The Daily Beast)Who is the father of Rielle Hunter's baby? Hunter, of course, is the woman who had an affair with John Edwards during the '08 campaign for president. When it was revealed that Hunter was pregnant, Edwards denied he was the father. The campaign put forth an interesting explanation--that the baby's actual dad was Andrew Young, Edwards' longtime friend and aide. But then came word that Young, in return for an undisclosed sum, had agreed to move to Santa Barbara, Calif., along with a pregnant Hunter, his own wife and three children. Who paid for this relocation? Edwards' then-campaign chairman, Fred Baron.
When Hunter's baby was born, no father was listed on the birth certificate, and Hunter's initial threats to administer a paternity test were dropped. Even Elizabeth Edwards now says she's not sure who the baby's dad really is.
Well, Young--the man who either really is the baby's dad, or, who played one of the greatest fall-guy roles in history-- is hoping to tell his side of the story in a new book. Via The Daily Beast, we learn that Young's agent, David McCormick, is shopping this tell-all to New York publishers.
Certainly, there are many sordid details yet to be sorted out. Young's book might help explain this rather remarkable set of circumstances. The question is, would you be interested in buying it?
