Why cant we find anything about cap and trade? They do not want the peaple to know keep us in the blind. I did find out that 300 pages were added to the bill this morning. What happend to clearity?

Clarity went out when he got the office and the majority in the house and the senate. All we can do is hope that the senate can stop this, its not looking good for Americans. Get ready for more job losses, but maybe that is the intention, the more people without jobs the more that become dependant on government and the more control government has, even a dog learns not to bite the hand that feeds them. Americans it is looking more and more like they are willing to trade freedom for security as the numbers dependant on government increase.

The only think I found for documentation is a 648 page draft dated March 31, 2009.

As a Canadian I can tell you all here that this crap and trade bill is nothing but a huge money grab. Your electrical and house heating bills in the cold states are going to at least double. For anyone who thinks this is about high paying jobs I want to know what you are smoking? It is minimum wage jobs - Spain has done it and is living proof that it does not work. As well unemployment rates there are skyrocketing. It is going to help you all right America - help bankrupt you!

If you only listen to to the National Barack Corporation (NBC), the all Barack Corporation (ABC), the complete Barack Corporation (CBS) you won't hear anything. Cap and trade is going to bankrupt the citizens of this country. The legislation if it makes it through the Senate as it stands won't allow you to sell your home unless it passes an environmental protection agency test. It will have to be energy effecient (including windows, doors all energy effecient appliances). You literally will not be able to sell your house unless it passes these tests. You will have to pay to bring your home up to government defined standards in order to sell it. Anyone who supports this legislation better open their eyes.

The mainstream media has most of the Cap and Trade bill contents in the major newspapers of the country this morning. Maybe look at one of them. The bare bones of the Cap and Trade is argued pretty clearly in the six national newspapers I looked at. They also explain the shortcomings of the plan instituted in Europe and compare their program to our proposed bill. The 300 additional pages added to the bill this morning are not described. Read more tomorrow to see which agricultural states ask for earmarks and special exemptions. The facts are out there if you read what the reporters on the editorial pages are giving us, instead of listening to commentators. Commentators leave out lots of facts. Read, don't complain.

This sham of a bill won't help the environment, but it will make our already too high energy bills even higher! This is just the "stimulus" we need! Businesses always pass on their costs to the consumer, and this cost is an unnecessary burden on everyone. I am sick and tired of funding Nancy Pelosi's Utopia in Washington. The reps who voted for this are completely out of touch with normal, hard working Americans and they distort the facts on this issue to further their agenda. I hope we survive this train-wreck government intervention into productive people's lives and their selfish generational theft policies.

Pelosi and Obama's "Carbon Tax" or "Green Energy Tax" is a "Regressive Cap-and-Trade" plan that taxes every single person in America. Every time anyone flips on a light switch, tax dollars are collected. The Obama "Carbon Tax" plan doubles the price of your electric bill immediately. The tax money goes straight to Obama and his Federal Government Cronies!

There is only one way of stopping these maniacs in congress. Call every congressman and tell them if they vote "yes" for the cap & trade bill, at the next election they will be voted out of office. Do it now. To get further educated, visit Mark Levin's web site, Sean Hannity's web site, and Rush Limbaugh. Read the book "Liberty and Tyranny" by Mark Levin. It has been on the NY Times best seller list. Educate yourselves by listening to talk radio shows. You can listen at the various web sites. Most importantly, call as many senators as you can. Without your votes, they are out of a job. GOD help us all.

I wonder what people when by 'mainstream media' or why they find obtaining information so hard. For science and related topics there's Discover, National Geographic, Scientific American, Smithsonian, even Time and Newsweek, Wall St. Journal, Congressional Record, National Institutes of Health, Washington Week in Review, The Economist and countless more. You can go to your Congressmen's websites, other government websites, as long as they're straightfoward facts without anyone's opinion coloring them.

You people are being played for emotion and overwhelming fear.

The anti-Obama rage is descending to the depths of caricature.

Does anyone know how far behind the rest of the world we are when it comes to supporting/selling green technology? Why are you so stuck? Don't you know to make money you need an outlay? Of course it will initially cost more to jump start energy independence, fix the appallingly inefficient health care system, educate our kids to keep up with global competition, but the cost of NOT doing so is incalculable. The Economist, Financial, even a recent editorial in the WSJ have worried othe stimulus doesn't go far ENOUGH.

Generational theft? Where oh where were you when Bush was throwing money around without purpose or investment in infrastructure?
