It used to bug me to no end when men I was with stared at other women."I would appreciate it if you wouldn't stare at other women when you're with me," I'd say, seething. "It's disrespectful and juvenile."
The men invariably got defensive and denied doing anything wrong. "What woman?" they'd ask, and the evening would be ruined.
Over the years I've realized that the literal roving eye is more misdemeanor than felony. It doesn't bother me anymore as long as the once-over is quick and doesn't linger or keep repeating itself.
As it turns out, the photo showing the president looking at a lady's shapely behind while his French counterpart looks on in amusement didn't match the video. In motion, Obama seems to be actually watching his footing.
But the buzz about the snapshot reminded me of the importance of perspective. At a time when we can't read the news without stumbling into men who cheat on their wives with their "soul mates," or cheat with prostitutes, or may have fathered another woman's child, or who tried to buy their mistress' silence, what's a little looking?

This is just such a funny 'much ado about nothing' story. I love Sarkozy's face--he could give a rat's ass if he is caught looking, he's French!!!
The only Americans who are really gonna complain about this, besides all those against Obama, are the men who will feign revulsion while they are looking at the neighbor's daughter through binoculars, and the women who have never been given the 'look' by men.

That was funny joe. Unfortunatly you can watch the whole video on aol. he does seem as if he was helping a women step down... But i like to think he and sakozy were sneaking a peek. after 24 years of marriage i sometimes just point out the good peeks for my husband, it stops alot of angst.

yeah, and when I looked at that picture I didn't even notice her A$$. This guy could kill someone in front of the news media and we would hear, "Did you see anything?" I didn't did you? Who cares if he did or didn't its the first red blooded american thing I've seen him do. Teddy Kennedy did kill a girl and he is going to have national health care named after him, so I guess I answered my own question.

what's a little looking? ask the so called ''writer'' of this blog.. the president of the u.s. is staring at the ass of a 16 YEAR OLD GIRL.. but since ms navarro writes for the new york times i guess i can understand her view of this story.. protect the president!!!...this has been the common theme of abc nbc MSNBC(big time) and new york times. this is why the 3 listed networks combined is still losing the ratings war with fox and NYT is going bankrupt at a record rate(are they to big to fail?). untill the press starts to do some real reporting no one will believe what they say.. read this story over and over again its basically an excuse piece!!!

you missed the point of my comment which was the bias shown in the media.. the above mentioned are blowing it off like it was nothing but i guess for the left a grown man checking out a kids ass is okay or just normal...
as for pundit.. it is a professional blogger!! every story always is always accompanied by links and stats which only someone who's job depends on it could have time to find. it will post on every story with one basic theme---anti republican//pro democrat.. i challenge anyone who reads the news story on any kind of regular basis to disagree that pundit 1)is always 100% anti republican on every issue no matter what 2) always always always has long list of data and facts which no normal working person would have the time to look up 3) always has links to website to back up what he is saying which is great but see point 2 who has time other than PROFESSIONAL BLOGGER. 4)always manages to comment on every single story!

I don't think he is checking out the booty. I think he is looking more towards that step behind him, using peripheral vision, preparing to pose for the photography. Who cares if he is checking it out. There are far more serious matters to report on. Like, has the man even been inside the Oval Office yet? Does he have to drag his entire family with him on these trips? Have they insisted on having stores opened for them to shop, on Sundays, when no one works on Sundays? WHERE'S HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE?
