The Obama Family To Vacation on Martha's Vineyard
The White House finally made it official on Friday: the Obama family will vacation on Martha's Vineyard in August. Word that the famed vacation island off the coast of Massachusetts would be the Obama family destination had been leaking for months because security agents have been crawling around the place.
So now it can be told, according to what was called "preliminary August vacation details" released by the White House.

"The Obama family will spend the last week of August vacationing on Martha's Vineyard. They've spent vacation time there before and are looking forward to relaxing together as a family at the end of a very busy summer. Additional details about the exact dates and location will be available at a later date."

Vacation planning for the Obama family has been in the works since at least April. The Boston Herald recently reported that First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha would arrive mid-August with the president coming to Martha's Vineyard a few days later.

Mr. Thomas was undoubtedly a visionary.
I personally have no problem with the holder of the highest office in the United States unwinding to take a family vacation. The issue is the height of hypocrisy when he neverendingly relates to the commoners of the country & their plight in life. His vogue approach to every single thing he does fits the elitist liberal mold but it's very hard to stomach when he gives his tiring empty compassionate speeches to the mindless who adore him......

The Obamas have been on a lengthy vacation since the inauguration. Actually, it's surprising that they're not going on another world tour at taxpayers' expense. I suggest they stay at Martha's Vineyard; maybe the economy will finally recover if Obama ceases promoting his changes for the sake of change.

Actually, I wished the Obamas and the entire Congress would ALL go on vacation and not return for THREE years. Perhaps then, our citizens would have some restored faith that our economy will rebound, and things will get better. This government is screwing things up at an alarming rate with no end in sight, LAISSEZ-FAIRE!
