Poll: Jon Stewart is America's Most Trusted Newsman

How real is the "fake-news" these days? Real enough to land "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart atop the list of most-trusted newscaster in America "now that Walter Conkrite has passed on." Going up against the big three network anchors -- Katie Couric, Brian Williams and Charlie Gibson -- Stewart handily beat his competition. In a Time magazine online poll of about 9,000 people, 44 percent said the comedian was the best source for trustworthy news, while 29 percent gave that honor to Williams, 19 percent named Gibson, and just 7 percent voted for Couric.

Of course, unscientific polls of this nature should be viewed with suspicion as they propose a false equivalence. Stewart himself employs the "fake-news" adjective to describe his show, and would no doubt bristle at having his work compared directly to the kind of journalism practiced by the other anchors. Still, the poll does speak to a very real disaffection for traditional news outlets. We thought it would be fun to expand the choices and conduct our own poll. So, go ahead and let us know your choice for Cronkite's most-fitting heir:
