According to the NRA, Palin's speech to 130 people was the highlight of a four-day Gun Collectors Seminar. (The event was closed to press, so Palin's remarks are not available; details of the event are from the NRA's blog.)

Top NRA officials attended Palin's speech, including association President Ronald Schmeits, Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, and Gun Collectors Committee Chairman Wayne Anthony Ross.

Also, Palin was given several honors, including the NRA's Gold Medal Award of Merit for the Promotion of Gun Collecting. This is only the second time in 10 years the award has been presented on behalf of the NRA's Gun Collectors Committee.

According to the Associated Press, Ross said Palin attended the dinner with her husband, Todd.
