Rosa Parks Poster Destroyed at Town-Hall Meeting

The lunatic fringe sees that the demographics of the country are changing and they will fight to keep white Christians in charge of "their" country. They are going to get very dangerous and are the biggest threat facing the country today. They are stockpiling weapons for a reason. They are nutty and likey think they will have to fight to keep things they way they want them to be, which isn't exactly the American way.

That man is no more representative of the republican party than Fidel Castro is representative of the democrats. People express displeasure in different ways some shout, some vandalize others bottle their emotions and die lonely deaths. The time for civil debate passed when the congressmen and congresswomen deicided to begin the name calling. What is the best approach to get the attention of someone so out of touch, so hysterical that the sky will fall if we "do nothing"- a quick slap in the face. These town hall meetings should serve as the slap in the face to our representatives to wake up, do their job and listen to the people of their respective districts.

What the hell does Rosa Parks have to do with healthcare, Rosa Parks is great, she did amazing things, but the townhall meeting was over healthcare not civil rights, and stop thinking you know all republicans, you damn democrats just cant stop whining about the past, maybe you should start watching your new President spend trillions of dollars, most of which he cant track, Obamas spending is far above and beyond what Bush ever did, be honest and hold your president accountable for his actions...I sure as hell never told him or the US govt that they could spend my Social Security they forced me to pay, and I also never said they could give it to immigrants who had never paid, dems are great for bitching, nothing else...

Julia read the following question off a piece of paper: "As I was walking in I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming healthcare. How do kids know what is true and why do people want a new system that can help more of us".




Like many others I watched the "town hall" meeting in Portsmouth MA [sic. NH] with the supposedly randomly selected audience.

This randomly asked question gave Obama the perfect opportunity to dismiss talk about "death panels that will pull the plug on Grandma" and to blame Republicans for everything. Over on the town hall comments thread AtomicPunk09 discovered someone on facebook who might possibly be Julia's mother and had a photo of her with Obama:

Another "coincidence" is that Julia said she lives in Malden MA and Kathleen Manning Hall's campaign contributions list the occupation "Legal Asst, Looney and Grossman LLP" and a home address in Malden MA:

I might have believed it, if it were a picture of Obama! How many people even know who Rosa is? The DNC and Obama are showing signs of despair and they already know how stupid their followers are, so why not! What a bunch of idiots! Ethics investigations are definitely needed on Obama!

The man tore up a poster of Rosa Parks. Racism is on the rise but do you have any idea why. It is because the black person is always screaming it is not fair. It is because I am black that you want me to do my job. It is because I am black that you want me to do what you ask the white man to do. I am sorry but those are the individuals that I work with. It does not represent everyone. But I work with a lady who calls the district office to report managers because she always claims they are unfair because she is black. There were two abuses of the Parks poster.
Obviously, the guy who grabbed the poster was wrong.
But also wrong was the person who co-opted the image of a hero of the civil rights movement as a symbol of health care reform, implying if you are against the current plan, you are a racist.

The use of the poster in this context was a very planned, and indecent act on the part of owner.

DC's definition of affordable is entirely different from the rest of the nation. WHO is going to be making the medical decisions for me? I mean besides Rahm Emanuel's brother. So far Obama's picks for just about everything leaves much to be desired. There is only one way to keep medical cost down and that is to cut the care you get. Obama said when campaigning that we would get the SAME medical care that congress has....another lie...this is NOT the same. We pay their salaries, not counting what they steal and we still aren't worthy enough to have medical as good as they have. This is plain BS!!!
