During a recent telephone conference call , Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) spoke out against President Obama's health care reforms and asked her supporters to take action.

According to The Minnesota Independent, Bachmann implored those on the line to "pray, fast, believe, trust the Lord, but also act." She also praised claims by Sarah Palin that the reform legislation would create "death panels."

"Thank God she said that!" Bachmann told callers. "These are true!"

The congresswoman also stressed her belief that reform would unduly target the unborn and the disabled. On the topic of abortion, she argued that members of the pro-life camp could lose years of hard work if the bill is passed, and told her audience that God may have put her in a position of power specifically to fight against the issue.

We all need to consider that in God's timing that he may have allowed us, as members of Congress, to be in the position that we're in just for this specific issue right now. Everything that all of us have worked together and labored for over the years, all of it could be undermined with this one bill. President Obama realizes that. The radicals that are on the pro-abortion left, they realize that. They could win it all. And the unborn, and the vulnerable, the disabled and those at the end of life could lose it all.

The 90-minute call was hosted by the Susan B. Anthony List, a pro-life group that supports women in Congress. Others fielding call-in questions included Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.), former Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-Colo.), and the organization's president, Marjorie Dannenfelser.

No word yet on the specifics of the fasting period.
