First of all, why don't you conservatives try waiting to see what happens before making your mind about something that hasn't happened yet and refusing to listen to other people who try to promise you otherwise. Before anyone can be called a liar, the bill must past and evidence of illegal immigrants getting coverage on our dime is presented.

The topic here isn't about truth or an untruth. The topic at hand is an U.S. Representative interupted the President of the United States in the middle of his speech/proposal and called him a liar. That's disrespectful to Obama, the office of which the Presidency stands for and the history of the chamber in which Wilson said it in. As a South Caroliner and a Southerner, he should know to call a man out as a liar is not just fighting words but throat-cutting words because he's attacking the man's honor and dignity.

If Wilson was speaking to a newsreporter, it'd be okay. But if Barney Frank called Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush or George W. Bush a liar during any of their speeches, you'd ask for blood.

The fact is that Wilson has no respect for Barack Obama as person and it's not just about his politics because there are plenty of people in the political system whom he disagrees with strongly yet the only man he called a liar in the middle of a speech is Barack Obama who just so happened to be President, an office he has no respect for as long as a nig/ger like Obama fills it. And that's why he said it.

It must be frustrating to sit and listen to a highly partisan speech hearing blanket statements that really can't be made at this time. Mr. Wilson works on a committee that just saw the dems reject an amendment to make it clear that illegals won't be covered. What does that tell intellegent folks, such as yourselves? As a dem, I understand an emotional outburst, and would hardly call it the rantings of a lunatic. I saw him interviewed. He apologized for for shouting those 2 words, but stands behind the fact he feels Mr. O is being less than truthful. Keep in mind that the Congressional Regulation Office (CRO) has determined that illegals 'could be' covered under the wording of the plan, and the Congression Budget Office (CBO) has warned that the cost of the plan is being grossly underestimated. These are the non-partisan analytical wings of our gov't.
The outburst was, of course, inappropriate, however, worse has happened in that chamber. Ex. In 1860 a dem beat a fellow congressman with a cane. As a dem, I recognise BO's partisan spin. As a physician, I recognise that an 'advisory panel' can easily become a death panel when say chemo drugs (the newer, expensive drugs) are denied, as they are in Canada & the UK. It's already happend with Oregon's socialized HC. A women was denied chemo costing $50,000, but offered assisted suicide (which costs $50).

Honestly tjbigley9, there is no reason to apologize if he felt confident in his statement in the first place. His "honesty" as you put it seems less genuine because he apologized.
It's okay to speak your mind, and we want our representatives to do just that; but there is a time and a place. The recent outburst suggests to me that Joe Wilson would rather postpone the completion of this bill rather than work towards having his ideas implemented on the remaining 20 percent left to be agreed upon by all parties. Our people in this country do not deserve to remain Ill due to certain representatives procrastination.
