Doubting Democrats should wake up and face the fact that the Republicans are not sincer in Health Reform for obvious reasons. The Democrats should all join the President in getting legislation that will include the Public Option. The majority of the american voters want the Health Reform to include Public Option. The President and his staff hould make sure that when legislation is passed that the Government has all programs and policies necessary to preclude problems with implementation.

Name me ONE piece of Legislation brought by Obama since his inauguration that has gotten ONE single Republican vote...? The fractured wreck of the GOP can only delay and obfuscate. They have no ideas, and no policy except undermining the recovery of the United States from 30 years of failed conservative dogma. The Republican party should not be consulted because it is not serious about governing. It has shown time and again that it has abrogated it's right to participate in representative government.

We definitely need a public option to compete with these insurance companies that have little or no competition and keep raising prices and delivering less.

Today's good news is that the House of Representatives voted to cut off federal funding to ACORN. The bill was introduced by a Republican and passed by the Democratic controlled House. So bipartisanism isn't completely dead. The only disappointing part of the story is that 75 representatives, all Democrats, voted against the bill.
Who in his right mind could vote to continue directing taxpayers' money to a clearly corrupt organization?

I would respectfully disagree with your assessment that the majority of Americans want a public option. In fact, the polls indicate just the opposite. People that have never gotten involved in politics are speaking out against this.

And what bipartisanship would that be??? This is the least bipartisan administration in history. They act like the have the only point of view that matters so why ask anyone what they think about it, including the citizens of this nation who keep trying to get the attention of these arrogant block heads!! HEY-pay attention or you're gonna get replaced!!

Can anyone imagine how Nancy Pelosi would react if the Democrats moved toward a bipartisan Congress? She has been committed to rejecting any proposal or even any attempt to speak by Republicans in the House. Allowing open debates from the floor in the name of bipartisanship would totally undermine her dictatorship.

the obama administration has tried time and time again to reach across the aisle, only to be rebuffed time and time again. he has bent over backwards trying to court the republicans and they have stubbornly refused to even compromise. they act like spoiled children who can't understand that having a voice doesn't mean that the other person is obligated to do everything they want them to do. bush and his rubber stamp congress had absolutely no compunction against ignoring the democrats. now that the tables have been turned, the republicans are continuously slapping aside the hand of bipartisanship that is offered them when they did nothing approaching that when they were in power.

"My way or the hyway" a sign of true addiction or stinkin thinkin as AA calls it.
My first reaction was as yours. What bipartanship???? Most good managers or leaders identify the problem first and then work to address solutions and methods of fixing the real problems, and not all the symtoms at one time. Its like setting a time table for victory when nobody even knew what victory was going to look like. Now it appears that Washington is going away from the term War, and clearly copying Kennedy and others in making our Soldiers and CIA fight a "police action". We all know wherre that got us in Viet Nam. This isnt bipartanship, this is the lawyers and ACLU influence is winning on all fronts. Relationships matter!

Conservatives will do anything in their power to block anything THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES (whether you like it or not)tries to do. It's time to change the status quo. The republicans had the power to do soething about this for the last 8 years but all they seem to care about is WAR, and making the rich richer and killing the middle class. Perhaps Bush should have spent less time tyring to run this country like a Monarchy, and more time choosing qualified people to appoint to political positions not just people his family and Cheney owed something to.

Should Dems ditch bi-partisanship? Huh? When did the bi-partisan moment occur? I must have missed it. The ONLY way the dems are going to keep their seats in 2010 is to begin to work with Republicans in keeping closer tabs on the least transparent administration in history. Other than that, nah. The more they build walls, the stronger the right grows.

You just spent $20,000,000 to move members/supporters of Hamas, a terrorist organization, to the United States; housing, food, the whole enchilada.
HB 1388 PASSED
Whether you are an Obama fan, or not, EVERYONE IN THE U. S. needs to know....
Something happened.... H.R. 1388 was passed, behind our backs. You may want to read about it.. It wasn't mentioned on the news... just went by on the ticker tape at the bottom of the CNN screen.
Obama funds $20M in tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas Refugees to the USA . This is the news that didn't make the headlines...
By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza .
The "presidential determination", which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States, was signed and appears in the Federal Register.
Few on Capitol Hill, or in the media, took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.
Let's review....itemized list of some of Barack Obama ' s most recent actions since his inauguration:
His first call to any head of state, as president, was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.
His first one-on-one television interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.
His first executive order was to fund/facilitate abortion(s) not just here within the U. S. , but within the world, using U. S. tax payer funds.
He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
He ordered overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.
He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and the "terror attack" on 9/11.
Now we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense.
These important, and insightful, issues are being "lost" in the blinding bail-outs and "stimulation" packages.
Doubtful? To verify this for yourself: www.thefederalregister.com/d.p/2009-02-04-E9-2488
PLEASE PASS THIS ON.... AMERICA NEEDS TO KNOW
WE are losing this country at a rapid pace.

Bipartisanship is not giving into everything the ruling party wants, that's one party rule.
