A number of Democrats made it clear Wednesday that they disagreed with former President Jimmy Carter's assessment of Rep. Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst as an expression of racism. As the comments dominated headlines throughout the day, leading senators distanced themselves from Carter, and White House spokesman Robert Gibbs hinted that President Obama also disagreed.

"Listen, he's the former president, and he's entitled to his point of view," Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) told Politico. "I personally believe President Obama and his administration are focused on the issues, and I agree with that." Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) acknowledged that many people are angry at his party's handling of health care, and that he didn't see Wilson's expression of their frustration "as a racial issue."
The White House is especially uninterested in bringing Obama's race into the discussion of health care. "The president does not believe that criticism comes based on the color of his skin," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Wednesday, not naming Carter but clearly responding to the former president's comments.

I mean who is more closely associated with economic malaise and failure than Jimmy Carter? It's an axiom. They bring Jimmy Carter out at the last moment to try to save the day. We have the worst president in American history coming back to defend the man who will be an even worse president when it's all said and done. Now that economic misery is once again engulfing America, Jimmy Carter back in the news with the same kind of ignorance and stupidity that marred and marked his own presidency. Carter and Obama deserve each other, folks. Carter and Obama deserve each other. Misery loves company. Misery indexes love company and it's about time we come up with a misery index for the Obama administration, because it is it is running the same route as Jimmy Carter. The only difference between the two is that Jimmy Carter was doing everything he could to reform the system, to reform America within it. Obama's going outside. So what we have here is two failed presidencies and failed presidents in the spotlight. The Democrat Party has put a perfect match in political and economic hell for the American people to see. There is no way Jimmy Carter has the respect of a majority of the American people. No way possible. Obama, the latest health care numbers, 55% now disapprove of his health care plan. Yeah, opposition to health care reform reaches a new high at 55%. Carter's comments reflect his own racial bias. That he would consider that the problems with Obama's health care reform were attributed to race. Most people that I know either voted for him because they wanted Liberal change or didn't vote for him because they did not want Liberal change. There is no disagreement on Obama's intelligence or charm and ability to influence people. There is a fundamental difference between the right and the left. Unfortunately most Americans have moderate views and have no representation at all. This is all about beliefs and not race at all. Carter needs to stop embarrassing himself and his family (children) needs to step in and do the right thing. He was a dangerous president and he is a dangerous old man.

And if anyone is "racist" it is our president; and "his" Gates outburst clearly defined what he IS if you didn't get it from his prior involvements -- Acorn, Rev Wright's Chicago UCC Church, prior voting history, et cetera.
Using the race card and the blacks calling everyone a racist everytime they want their way is getting "way old!"
I want to hear Obama speak out against what happened on that Belleville IL bus -- is what I want to hear - since he likes to get involved in local police matters.
