Clinton didn't pay off the national debt, he had a "balanced budget". Then again, I have a balanced budget at the beginning of every year too but that changes in time with spending....just as Clinton's balanced budget was only good on paper.

Maybe we decided that for a little while it was better to go after the people that had declared war on America. Was it the right choice to trade our financial freedom. No, but when someone punches you in the face as I am sure must happen on a daily basis with someone like yourself, you often stop rationalizing for a while.
Its even more interesting how we have nearly spent as much as we did under the entire 8 years of President Bush in less than the first year of office of President Obama. You should quit whining about the past and look at the present. At least under Bush the money was spent to protect the American people. Tell me where the money Obama has spent has helped the American Tax payer, not the welfare tax drains and tax cheats that voted for him.

I remember watching the Republican primaries. The one question that always came to my head was "what is the appeal of John McCain?". He was the worst of the offerings that the party had! If Clinton had been running against McCain, it is very possible I would've voted for her, and I honestly dont like her.

Millions of conservatives didn't vote for McCain who was fighting all those great conservatives who got their butts wiped in Congress for not listening to McCain. He was by far the best candidate, but the Bush and the GOP led Congress and Senate made it impossible for a Republican to win. For those that say the reason McCain lost was because he wasn't conservative enough, look who won. The candidate farthest to the right or in other words, the candidate farthest from the conservative ideology. They deserved it and they still want to blame McCain who tried to bridge a gap, not widen it like Bushy and Cheney did with their arrogance and war mongering.

ON 9/11/10 I DO NOT want to see the 9/11/01 full replay on TV. For a few REASONS.
THOUSANDS of people got some kind of PTSD from 9/11, and the full TV replay sends many people back into serious depression etc. Let the history and discovery channels do their things about 9/11, which they have, and very good.

First of all shutupdemliars- the Bush administration were the largest group of liars in recent history- maybe with the exception of the Nixon administration. Secondly, our troops aren't dying because of Obama's idealism, they are dying fighting for our country- not for partisan reasons. Let us not forget who sent our troops out to begin with. Lastly...learn to spell! Ignorance isn't bliss to the rest of us!

First, you need to learn to spell. Second, the troops were already there when Mr. Obama took office. He did not get us into this mess, and sad as it may be, it's not going to go away overnight. Everyone want's to crucify the man who's only been in office less than a year.He has a lot on his plate, and people need to realize that the mess that he inherited is going to take time to clean up, if this is at all possible.

Ok, first of all, Troops are NOT dying DUE TO the current president, and certainly not for his ego (thats a really AWFUL thing to say), of course it's his job to now try and fix various problems with this country, but he did not deploy the troops and was not in office, in fact the war is years old, so I will reiterate that it is not the current president's fault that troops are dying.


And to the comment about our Pres. needing to pay debt, audit fed, put dollar on gold standard, stop spening deficit, and no more talk shows; Did you know that once again the deficit is not his fault, and it will take time to undo then fix our problems. And just look at the deficit history, it rose rapidly before Obama, not during.
And honestly if I see a president on a talk show it doesn't bother me and If we see the president on tv it doesn't mean that our problems aren't being looked at, thats why we call them administrations. Its not one mans job.
