Six Jobless for Each Vacancy

You and yours who CONTINUE to call this the 'Obama Economy' are too stupid to breathe. Notice the sudden COLLAPSE of the WORLD'S economy just after President Obama won the nomination. Coincidence? In ONE DAY he destroyed the ENTIRE GLOBAL FINANCIAL SYSTEM? Whoa! Now, try to follow the money. Truth is- you can't. Go ahead, try. It vanished! Poof! Just like that. Where did it go? Was it ever there in the first place? For every Bernie Madoff, how many others are out there, smiling faceless villians who plundered the world's money? Don't try to pin this on Obama, he got handed a $hit-stack of an economy, and he and others are doing everything they can to avert a REAL catastrophe. Think McLame and Palin could have done better? You want to place blame, look to the likes of Darth Cheney- the nefarious leader from behind the curtain of the evil GIANT Halliburton. Look to Sith Lord Rumsfeld, who beat the drums for war to enable Darth Cheney's evil plans. And finally, look to Dumya, the stupidist puppet ever. Notice how not a peep has come from him other than that he is 'free' from being the Corporo-fascist figurehead, Enabler in Chief, and poster boy for the biggest deception of all time (think 9-11).

Obama promised that his stimulus plan would keep our unemployment rate under 8%. Even though the pork barreled program added a trillion dollars or so to our national debt, our current unemployment rate is nearly 10%, and no one I know anticipated any significant improvement in the foreseeable future. The stimulus bill should have been directed toward creating jobs for Americans and improving the health of small businesses, which historically are the primary source of employment growth. Instead, we've spent the money aiding large and sometimes corrupt organizations whose lobbyists are far more influential.

Much attention has been devoted to the negative impact of Obama's health plan on the elderly. We should focus more on how the plan and other deficit spending programs will affect younger Americans. In addition to the higher income taxes that will inevitably follow from government overspending, citizens will still have to deal with Social Security and Medicare deductions from their paychecks. Those deductions will continue even though both programs may be extinct before citizens under 50 years old become eligible to receive benefits. Certainly any benefits which might remain will be cut way back from those available today.

The weakness of our economy means that jobs will continue to be hard to find for some time. Job shortages and high unemployment rates ensure that salaries and hourly rates will grow slowly if at all in the foreseeable future. So where will people find the cash to pay inflated tax bills? (I suspect liberals will hold off on burdening most of us with big tax increases until after the 2010 elections in order to limit the number of seats they lose in Congress, But the longer they wait, the more they'll have to charge us.)

Two more negative effects of irresponsible deficit spending are loss of value of the U.S. dollar (already in evidence) and high inflation rates which will show up if and when the economy starts to recover. Both effects escalated during the Carter administration; this time both are likely to be even more severe this time.

Generations of Americans have made sacrifices to ensure that their children will enjoy a better standard of living than our own. Our goal has been to prepare our kids for successful careers by giving them the best possible education. Until now, the sacrifices have paid off. But the Obama administration has destroyed my confidence that our children or their descendants can expect to live even as well as I have. Reckless spending and irresponsible government are turning the American Dream into an American Nightmare.

When George W. Bush took office the Dow was at 10,578.20. By the time he left office, it had fallen to 7,949.09.

While not on vacation Bush attacked and took over two countries, spent the surplus and bankrupted the treasury, shattered record for biggest annual deficit in history, set economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period, set all-time record for biggest drop in the history of the stock market.

After your messiah was elected the Dow immediately went to 6500 in March. But I don't hold that againstt him since presidents have little power to do anything except tell people he will be coming after them if they don't pray to him. It is congress that legislates and is in control of the economy and financial health of the country.

I know you guys hate Bush and blame him for everything but presidents only have a bully pulpit to brainwash the weak minded like you and no other power to do anything worth doing.

The facts are what they are and they country ran very far very fast to jump off a cliff once the socialists took over congress and then started digging a hole one it became clear the Marxist Messiah was going to win teh presidency. It is just another Jimmy Carter moment for the next 3 years because you socialists, Marxists and Commie lefties just can't contain your insane spending, stealing from those that have and giving it to those that can't and don't deserve it while trying to take over everything in the country by restricting the rights of individuals so you can screw them up too.

We know exactly what to do once you are again banished to the pile of historical failure only whack jobs on the left know so well.

You must think it odd how the lefties lied and said everything was all screwed up and only they could fix. Now we know you just wanted to really screw everything up. Why do you lefties hate America so much? What did it ever do to you to make you so un American?

Not at all - it is just that we understand that it took the combined presidencies of Reagan, Bush Sr., Bush Jr. and the 12 long years of Republican control of Congress, which includied 6 years of a Republican Congress with a Republican President, to get us into this mess.

I'm giving President Obama his entire first term to figure something out that will ameliorate the mess the GOP and its "Voodoo Economic Theories and Principles" has left us. It is only the low-attention span folks who helped elect those who got us into this mess in the first place who are in a hurry to be gotten out of it - talk about the "Me, me, me Generation"!
