Republicans Not Immune from 'Tea Party' Attacks

Yes ! There are some Gop members who need to find a new job , But there are more democrats than Gop that fit that bill !

I was hoping for a bit more of a story after reading that headline, but I guess that's the best we can hope for in today's media.

I will agree, that the Tea Party movement was not what party a politician was from. It was entirely based on voting record, and those that have voted for growing the government and reducing the rights of citizens have been attacked (politically), while those politicians that actually are fighting to reduce the power of the government, and do such things as lower taxes have been given some support.

Now its easy to for the liberal pundits to call this a Republican movement, but that is because at this time, the majority of big government, higher taxes crowd is Democrat. However, Republican politicians best be wary to believe they are safe from the growing anger of the grassroots movement, if their votes on the issues go against the interests of their constituents.

I concur with those who believe that we need to replace members of both parties who are destroying America through irresponsible spending and massive federal debt.

In an article published today, columnist Cal Thomas wrote that Obama's current budget plans have a projected deficit of $9.1 trillion dollars over the next decade. But he added that, "Brian Riedl of the heritage Foundation ... found the numbers misleading. What the president's budget ignored is an additional $4 trillion in likely additional spending."

Thomas also provided the following summary of average federal deficits as a percentage of GDP by administration:
*Kennedy: -1%
*Johnson: -0.9%
*Nixon: -1.6%
*Ford: -3.5%
*Carter: -2.4%
*Reagan: -4.3%
*G.H.W. Bush: -4.3%
*Clinton: -0.1%
*G.W. Bush:-3.2%
*Obama :-7.3% (est.)

As Cal Thomas pointed out, Obama's deficit spending is unprecedented.
Time for a change before the U.S. economy is totally destroyed? You bet!

The idea is that "We the People" will clean out congress in 2010,
we must do it if voting Independant, Libertarian, or Republican, and democrats need to help. We must have new and hopefully honest people
putting America first, not just lip service, or send them home, and we must establish term limits and stop lifetime feeding at the public trough.
American Patriots stand firm!

The only way to send the clearest message is to vote OUT all incumbents the next election. We the People can replace the entire House of Representatives and 1/3 of the Senate in one election. Then demand term limits of congress as well.
Anything less and it will be business as usual in Washington D.C.

If congress doesn't get rid of special interest groups, i.e., lobbyists then we have no hope of having our legislators working for "We the people."
"By the people, for the people " has been lost to our elected officials from both sides of the isle for decades. Who is "goverment"? We are. We elect those blow holes in congress (and before going to congress, they were just like you and me) who are more interested in overflowing their cups at our expense. I say get rid of congress...they don't work for us anyway.
