Just think Mary Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary.

Ø Laura Bush one; and
Ø prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket.

first of all how does a story about that idiot palin turn into posts about the first lady????
people will always try to find a way to get digs in when it isnt even appropriate you should be ashamed first of all for your little vendetta against someone that you dont even have the right facts about and secondly for being too stupid to understand who the story you are commenting on is about. that being said i dislike palin always have and think this whole "rogue republican" act is ridiculous. She was sorely lacking during the campaign hence why the mccain palin team did not win(though decidedly not the only reason). and she has bailed on her responsibilities as governor of alaska after only a year and a half of being governor. anyone who signs a contract to work for another person or perform a duty to the public then bails before the term of that contract is up is a quitter. since when do we as americans respect or look up to quitters???

Your e-mail would be alarming if at all true. The e-mail referencing the annual report to congress on white house staff has been busted by truth or fiction. Truth is Laura Bush has at least 17 staffers, Clinton had 20 with 15 additional unpaid volunteers. Next time get the facts correct and quit voting Republican...LOL.

It takes that many people to run the show so to speak. Also, the report to the Congress on White House staff does not always specify whether the staff reports to the President or first lady or both. The email referenced was busted by "Truth or Fiction". So much for more Republican garbage attacks.

what is it about Libs that they hate Sarah so much? Can it be because a quick look at the women on the Lib side (Michelle, Hillary, Nancy, Sonia, and EVERY Lib woman in Congress tells the story? You have no one that can compare with Sarah in looks, and if you believe she can't be beautiful and also intelligent, you will pay the price soon for underestimating her. She is a thousand times smarter than Biden and was the onbly thing that made McCain look halfway acceptable.
