    Fox Poll Says Network Will Come Out on Top in Battle with White House

    The White House has taken on Fox News, saying it is just a voice of the Republican Party and conservative opposition, and Fox News' own poll says its reporting will come out on top with voters over the administration criticisms by 43 percent to 39 percent with 6 percent saying neither and 12 percent undecided.

    In the poll, conducted Oct. 13-14 , Obama's job approval rating has fallen just below 50 percent mark. Forty-nine percent approve of the job Obama is doing compared to 45 percent who do not with 6 percent undecided,

    On specific issues, voters split on Obama's handling of the economy with 49 percent disapproving and 48 percent approving. On Iran, voters approve of Obama's handling of the issue by 44 percent to 43 percent -a statistical tie given the poll"s 3 point margin of error - with 13 percent undecided. They disapprove of Obama's handling of health care by 50 percent to 42 percent with 9 percent undecided, and disapprove of his handling of Afghanistan by 43 percent to 41 percent with 15 percent undecided.

    Sixty-five percent did not think Obama deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize while 29 percent thought he did.

    Forty-three percent said that if the 2012 presidential election was held today they would definitely or probably vote to re-elect Obama while 48 percent would vote for someone else. Independents say they would probably or definitely vote for someone else by 48 percent to 35 percent.
