Cost, not Public Option, Is Key Health Care Issue

Let's get back to personal responsibility. People should save for their own retirement, pay for their own healthcare and have someone staying home to raise their children (either mother or father). There are no shortcuts to a well run and happy life. Hard work, ethics and moderation.

To a liberal democrat cost is never an issue because government control is the only real goal. Cost doesn't matter. All costs will be paid by something called "the government". Liberals see driving up government costs as harmful to the USA, and therefore good.

For the working masses, the cost is the issue. The rich won't miss the premium no matter what it is. The "poor" that don't pay their way now will never have to pay no matter what reform brings.

well, history suggests we're repeating the pattern where the providers are lured into a new program and then the rules are changed when they're too dependent to leave. that's what happened with hospitals and doctors in medicare and will happen soon with the drug benefit as well. its one of those less than perfect clunky mechanisms that seems to work over time, so why beef?

Oh please, let's get real...the real cost here is who do our elected officials work for? Is it the American people who have been screwed for years by the inurance industy and big pharma or is it the corporations who are buying and selling them like whores. Blue dogs and Repubs are whining about cost...then put in a public option you morons! How does the UPS and Fedex compete with the post office? They do it...
It's all about corporate greed here and the nay sayers are being paid off to be against it....it's all a shell game..and unless our officials realize corporations do not vote them into office and do the right thing then they better start piling up the cash when we kick them to the curb.

Cost and the public option are both worrisome.
I don't want to pay more $$ than I do now to be put on a long waiting for medical services I need. I haven't heard anything good about the single-payer programs.

The entire agenda of Obama is identical to the agenda of The Open Society Institute of George Soros. It is a Marxist/Statist, One World government agenda. It is all about political power and control.

* The Obama Kevorkian Care scheme is about control of health care, but more importantly, control of ACCESS to health care. If you are an undesireable, like a Republican or Christian, maybe you can't get health care at Orwell Memorial Hospital anymore. Better fall in line, comrade.

If abortion, and euthanasia are part of the Progressive Eugenics agenda, and they are, wouldn't control of health care be the perfectly devious way to eliminate large numbers of people without anyone noticing? Remember, population control is at the core of the Progressive solution to environmental problems, trumped up, or real. It is also at the core of their "final solution" to wealth redistribution. Less people means less to manage.
Get rid of the unbelievers, and you have the fabled, and delusional, leftist utopia.

* Cap and Trade is another mechanism for control, disguised as an envirnomental imperitive. Notice, ALL leftist goals are cloaked in seemingly compassionate causes, and have to be done IMMEDIATELY! The En-Tyrant-mentalists want CONTROL.

Cap and Tax is a mechanism for control of industry, with those who fight it facing extinction by taxation. Taxes are used as much as punitive measures as they are for revenue gathering. The En-Tyrant-mental Czars could just as well have a motto like: "Pay, or die, for the environment, of course."

*The Copenhagen Treaty is yet another spoke on the wheel of the Soros/Obama transnationalist agenda. Again, the power grab is cloaked in the environmental imperitive. If, or when Obama signs it, this nation will be subordinate to a World government, and will lose sovereignty. Our constitution will be superceded by this treaty, and our elections, and laws will be on the fast track to IRRELEVANCY!

George Soros has made clear his belief that ALL states (nations) should be subordinate to a World government. He controls the Democrat Party, and therefore Congress, and he is the one who propelled Obama into the Whitehouse. His agenda is Obama's.

all of the things you are trying to predict will happen, happened over the last eight years..you were just too blissfully ignorant to notice them. The American people got screwed, and the people responsible have left the scene of the crime. Eight, soon to be nine, Bush administration officials have gon to prison for corruption, bribery, and malfeasance, and yet, our attention was diverted by Obama cabinet members not paying thier taxes. Bush abbrogated our Constitution, yet our attention is being diverted to lamentations about "socialism." Bush took three months to send troops to support the so-called "surge" (in the military, they call it piss poor prior planning), and yet our attention is being diverted from the fact, that the military bungled Afghanistan in the first place, by not insisting on the resources necessary to fight Al Queada at the very beginning. Obama gave them 21,000 troops in Marcg, and now they want MORE troops? Sounds like INCOMPETENCE to me. With Pakistan beginning their all-out offensive now, any new troops should have been in country two months ago, to help the Pakastani Army push the insurgents up into the mountains, and either starve them to death, or let them die of the diseases (like the flu)they would carry back to their hideouts. The snow would keep them trapped in the mountains, and easier to track down using technology.

The Members of Congress and the administration in the White House do not want to upset their big campaign contributors who make up the Medical-industrial Complex. We have been sold out again. The Health Care Reform Bill should be renamed the Medical Industry Christmas Tree Bill.

This is an emotional issue for many Americans. This so-called “public option” in Government run health care presents serious challenges for us.
