I think she did decline at first; one year later, well with nothing better to promote herself but her book being written by other.
I wonder why the media have not asked her why she walked off from an important job without clearing her name. As far as I am concerned she abused her power as a Governor. No guarantee that she would not walk off any job anytime (Vp?); or even cancel the interview with Oprah.

ed, I think Oprah will be fair, and it will be one of those touchy feely type interviews, in other words it might be crap. I'm not trashing Palin, but I truly think it will be like that.
