A senator that was chosen to replace the seat left open by Obama, under a shadow of corruption. Not even his Democrat colleagues wanted to seat him, because the scandal stank so bad. And we are to be surprised that another Chicago Democrat is going to back the policy that is most harmful to the country, and most advantageous to the left wing special interests?

Roland Burris. What a joke. Not elected, was appointed by a crook in Illinois to his senate seat. He would never have a chance in hell of being elected to Congress by the public. Now he will get full benefits after he is done with less than two years of service. He is part of the Chicago Political Machine, and the Obama circle of people that don't belong in our Government.
When I read an article like this it makes me sick.

At the top right hand corner of Page 17 of the New York Post of January 24, 2009 was a short column entitled "Replacing Michelle" in the National Review "The Week" column.

Here it is, word for word, as it appeared:

He sure had, and he requested a $1 million earmark for the UC Medical Center, in fact. Way to network, Michelle!

But now that Mrs. Obama has resigned, the hospital says her position will remain unfilled. How can that be, if the work she did was vital enough to be worth
$317,000?

Let me add that Michelle's position was a part time, 20hr. a week job. And to think they were critical of Blagoyovich's wife for taking $100,000 in fuzzy real estate
commission.

My thoughts: How did this bit of quid pro quo corruption escape the sharp reporters that dug through Sarah Palin's garbage and kindergarten files? Unbelievable!

The American People have no reason to trust you, or believe that you will submit your version of the original deceptive, outrageous piece of legislation that started all of the opposition across this Country.
The fact that you have publicly written off all the opposition as lunatics, trouble makers, and the fringe right in this Country tells me that you are so far removed from the feelings of the people in this Country its outrageous.
All local, State, and Federal elections going forward will send a message to you, and your tight nit group of left wing fringe legislatures that won't be hard to interpret.
The Democrat Party needs to take its party back and soon, or it will suffer for years to come.

Don't you just laugh when Senator Burris speaks? What a baffoon. He collected only $850 in campaign donations for his re-election effort. You wonder why he's chosen not to run in 2010?
