Nationwide Raids Nab 300 Mexican Drug Cartel Suspects
The largest single raid on Mexican drug operations in the United States led to the arrest of more than 300 members associated with "La Familia," the newest and most violent drug cartel, the Washington Post reported Thursday. The raid stretched across 19 American cities from Seattle to Boston to Tampa. In Dallas, 77 people were charged with various local and federal drug-related crimes. The effort was the work of 3,000 federal agents and police officers and part of a program that has thus far hauled in around 1,200 cartel criminals.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder took an aggressive stance against the cartel in a press conference following the arrests on Thursday. "To the extent that they do grow back, we have to work with our Mexican counterparts to cut off the heads of these snakes, to get at the heads of the cartels, indict them, try them, if they're in Mexico, extradite them to the United States," Holder said.
La Familia is the dominant force in methamphetamine trafficking from Mexico to the U.S. and is known for for its brutal violence, including beheadings. Run by Nazario Moreno Gonzales (known as "The Craziest One"), La Familia is a psuedo-evangelical cult whose members believe in the group's divine right to kill enemies, and whose leader carries a bible of his own sayings. The Drug Enforcement Administration says La Familia's religious component has contributed to its rapid growth, along with its "Robin Hood" style of stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.

Round and round we go.These arrests accomplish nothing more than the game whack a mole does.Prohibition does not work,never has,never will but it does make some very,very bad dudes very very wealthy.The DEA,Mexican cartells and the Taliban all have one thing in common,they all support prohibition.Why is that? See the study released yesterday by the New England Journal of Medicine?Heroin administered to addicts in a legal,controlled enviroment reduces consumption by 2/3 and reduces crime by 3/4.

Bring them to amherst MA for amnesty. They will be housed, feed and given free health care on the working joe's dime. Then they can be added to the democrats voting base to ensure obama is president for life.

Considering that they were arrested this year, when the Dems are in charge, rather than at any time over the past 8 years when the Rethugs were in charge... kinda means that the rumors about the Bush Crime Family might well be true.
After all, the known terrorist Louis Posada Carilles was allowed to live openly in America by the Bush Admin, despite him killing hundreds of women and children, so Bush Co. letting a quasi-evangelical drug cartel operate in America is not much of a stretch.

Funny how people don't realize that the U.S. Government isn't doing anything about drug trafficking. Notice every news story about drug trafficking: They only catch the low-level subjects instead of the important players. They catch the smaller guys for news stories like this one to make it seem as if they're doing something.
Face it, the U.S. Government profits from drugs being illegal. With drugs being illegal, the prison system flourishes providing jobs and economy to towns all over the country. Legalize drugs, all that's gone.
They also don't want to catch the important players because some of them have contacts with very important (and wealthy) people here in the United States. And the U.S. Government is smart enough not to step on it's own toes.

We who live near the border in New Mexico, Texas and Arizona (I guess, but, will include California) are well aware of the viciousness and bloody shootouts of these illegal alien gangs and their warfare on innocent citizens. But neither the Republicans nor the Democrats have done anything noteworthy about protecting American citizens.
Talk is cheap (see BO's and Bush statements). Until America backs up its Bullsh*t "War On Drugs" we will have Americans all over this country murdered by these criminals. The answer is here: Send in the Marines! Anything less is futile.

Democrats -- Opinionated. Very definitely. Their opinions are created by party hacks and psychologists and spoon fed to them. Proof? Watch the comments in response to anything political. More of the Democrats will attack any prior commentor, with name calling, incorrect statements, generalizations and vagueries than any other group.
Democrats -- Critical thinking. I can't believe he said that. BO is very certain that true critical thinking on the part of us Democrats would have prevented him from becoming President. He is an embarrassment to the great philosophers of the past and present with a statement like this.
It seems he is, once again, saying what the poorly educated masses want to hear. Everyone likes a pat on the back. (Psych 1)
