At a fundraiser in New York earlier this week, President Obama praised Democrats for what he called their superiority to Republicans -- as far as critical thinking goes. He joked that Democrats are an opinionated, contentious group, and that Republicans "do as they're told," possibly referring to the GOP's fear of its increasingly bellicose right wing.
bad move as he may very well be working with a lot more republicans after the elections. every time he opens his mouth without his telepromter he sticks his foot in. remember his not so long ago comment that the police acted stupidly when they hasseled his buddy gates in campbridge.

HA! Working with Republicans?? He's been tryiing, but without much coop from R's. I think he should crank up the steam roller and give the R's a taste of their own medicine. He's exactly CORRECT that certain personality types are pre-disposed to different group associations. Thinking people on both sides of the aisle have long admitted that R's lean toward structure and authority and D's lean toward freedom and individualtiy. Get over it.

Hey do not pay any attention to the nut gallery, your comment was right on, he will have a whole lot more Republicans to deal with after 2 November 2010. The notion that government control is freedom is really a strange concept for most of us to accept. We will probably go to a unemployment number for U-6 higher than 20%, which is somewhere in the 32,000,000 million range of US Citizens unemployed, underemployed, run out of benefits, and those who have just dropped trying too. Now we are hearing that 10% unemployment may be the norm... Just so much poop coming out of the Whitehouse, which is the natural thing when you have the likes of David Asselrod, and Scum big Bag Rahnm Emanuel... thank you

Who's pulling the strings here? Either they're completely incompetent or they intentionally want to him to continue to make a fool of himself. If there was a ever group totally incapable of thinking for themselves, of doing anything for themselves or not following the leader in a lemming like fashion its the kind of Democrats that elected this goofball into office.
If you made this stuff up, nobody would believe you. Incredible. The guy's legacy is going to be "How to have all the cards stacked in your favor and throw it all away".

That Obama is just about the best "uniter" I have ever seen. On the world stage he appeases our enemies like Putin, Chavez, Castro, Ortega, at the expense of our allies in eastern Europe, Honduras, Columbia, ect. He attacks doctors for performing unnecessary operations to make a fast buck; he attacks the US Chamber of Commerce for disagreeing with him, he tries to ostracize the most popular cable news station in an transparent attempt to intimidate all the others to continue their fawning news coverage of him, he shows his anti-police bias by siding with one of his radical professor friends and calling police "stupid", before the facts were in. He demonizes the entire insurance industry. He has already taken over our auto industry and banking industry, and is setting his sights now on health care and energy. And he smears Republicans almost daily. I guess being a uniter is just one more campaign promise that turned into a lie.
I will keep it simple for my road kill sandwich eating REPUBLICAN supporters. SIMPLE!

Republicans are sheep lead by dogs, if they stray, they get bit! Dems are like herding cats, they do their own thing and thats just fine. We just saw a prime reason why sheep are bad for the country. Even after 32 Republicans promised to vote to over ride the cut in medicare payment to doctors, it took one call from Bonner boy to stop that. Now the elderly can expect to lose many of their doctors because the GOP wants to play politics.

Too funny karin! Freedom and individuality from the Dems! What a farce. If you would open your eyes then you would see the exact opposite. But I guess it is so much easier to just believe what they say rather than look at what they are doing. Pitiful!

Democrats -- Opinionated. Very definitely. Their opinions are created by party hacks and psychologists and spoon fed to them. Proof? Watch the comments in response to anything political. More of the Democrats will attack any prior commentor, with name calling, incorrect statements, generalizations and vagueries than any other group. Democrats -- Critical thinking. I can't believe he said that. BO is very certain that true critical thinking on the part of us Democrats would have prevented him from becoming President. He is an embarrassment to the great philosophers of the past and present with a statement like this. It seems he is, once again, saying what the poorly educated masses want to hear. Everyone likes a pat on the back. (Psych 1) It is a disgrace, in my opinion, to cater to the baseness of human kind. Shame on you Mr. President.

Whining just exposes Obama for the immature, childish, cry-baby grade-schooler he is. "Waahh, FOX, I'm not going to PLAY with you. I'm gonna TAKE my TOYS AND GO HOME."
Rassmussen POLL Oct 21: "Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13. That’s just a point above the lowest level ever recorded for this President. It’s also the sixth straight day in negative double digits, matching the longest such streak."========READ===THE===BILL=========

The arrogance of this man knows no bounds. The idea that he knows the minds of people he knows nothing about is proof of that thesis. I doubt he has spent an hour seriously discussing what Conservatives believe or what drives us. This simplistic view of Republicans is inexcusable for a person who has actual knowledge of his opposition. It demonstrates that he has walked on road his entire life and never really examined issues from both sides. What a tragedy that such a shallow presumptive individual is President. If you want to see people doing as they're told, go to a Union meeting or work for ACORN for awhile.

As a former Democrat (I lobbied for Edward Kennedy to get the nomination for president, back in 1978), I can assure you that Republicans do think for themselves. The problem is conservatives think differently than liberals and there is precious little common ground between them. The greatest president of the 20th century was Ronald Reagan. He convinced me to move away from leftist politics and embrace free enterprise. Of course to socialists, "profits" is a dirty word. However, no economy can grow without them (it's impossible Karl Marx). Historians may recall that Lenin called for an alliance between socialists and Muslim radicals back in 1924. How has that worked out? Iran is a case in point, socialists who backed the Islamic Revolution were later arrested, tortured and killed. Obama and his left-wing base (brainwashed by "Academic Marxists" like Herbert Marcuse, Noam Chomsky, Saul Alinsky etc.) continue to make strategic errors in the economy, and foreign policy (war and trade). I doubt they will see these mistakes and prefer, instead, to attack Fox News and other bastions of conservative thought (when will they go after Human Events?). Anyways, since the real economy runs on profits, and socialists believe "profits" is a dirty word, they will lose the faith of the American people and we will return a Republican to the White House in 2012. And whoever that may be, he or she will be forced to make incredibly difficult decisions to correct the "errors" of the socialist zombies. Just as Nixon was forced to take America off the gold standard on August 15, 1971 (because of the costs of the Vietnam war, run up by the Democrats), the next president will not be popular and who knows, may even be forced to resign. As a Christian who believes we should pray for our leaders, I also pray that God will remove the incompetent and anti-American Barak Hussein Obama from office. No, please don't allow anyone to assassinate him, the last thing we need is a quasi-Marxist martyr for the Left to elevate to the status of "god" as they did with Kennedy, God rest his soul. Thank you folks, it's been a real pleasure discussing these issues with you, and I hope all turns out well in the end.
