Alaska congressman Don Young is accused of taking illegal gifts in court documents filed last week as part of an ongoing federal investigation into political corruption in the state.

The documents are related to the imminent sentencing of Bill Allen, a key figure in the corruption probe of former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens and other elected officials in Alaska. Young is identified in the papers as "United States Representative A," according to the Associated Press.

The 19-term Republican is accused of illegally receiving gifts totaling up to nearly $200,000 over 13 years from VECO Corp., an oil field services company headed by Allen. According to the filing, Allen and another VECO official used company money to pay up to $15,000 a year for expenses associated with Young's annual pig roast fundraiser between 1993 and 2006.

Young has denied wrongdoing.
