New Poll Shows Corzine With Comfortable Lead in N.J.
A Suffolk University poll conducted Oct. 22-25 breaks away from the pack of recent New Jersey polls, which have all shown a close race, and says Gov. Jon Corzine is leading Republican Chris Christie by a comfortable 42 percent to 33 percent with independent Chris Daggett (who had for the first time notched 20 percent in a survey last week) now at 7 percent. Fourteen percent are undecided. The margin of error is 5 points.

Suffolk said Daggett may be suffering from the way the New Jersey ballot is set up, placing his name at different spots, depending on the county.
"Independent Chris Daggett struggles to be found on the ballot, which benefits Jon Corzine, whose campaign is peaking at the right time for him," said Suffolk's David Paleologos.
Seventy-two percent of voters said their minds were made up, while 24 percent said they might change their minds. Both Christie and Corzine voters were in that range, but only 56 percent of Daggett voters said they were definitely going to vote for him.
Among undecided voters, 25 percent said they would vote for Corzine if they had to make up their minds right now, 15 percent named Christie and 2 percent named Daggett. Fifty-five percent remain uncommitted.

If New Jersey elects Corzine, then they deserve what they get. I don't want to hear them complaining about their miserable situations anymore. They asked for Corzine. Now deal with it.

For ALL you people that don't live in NJ, then DON'T worry about it..Why NOT let the voters of NJ decide who THEY want..The people of each state have the right to choose whomever they want..Look at some of the states that have Gov's that YOU all can be proud of...South Carolina has its Sanford, Texas has it's Perry. Calif has its Terminator. LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE, Just like they did for President......Where's Rush when YOU guys need him most?

Republicans say liberal like it's a bad word. Personally anything that is opposed to the republican party of today, count me in. Republicans don't see their party driving off a cliff at 100 MPH. if he is truly in the lead then it is obvious that the fix is in. This is probably a little job done by the ACORN folks. They are good at this kind of deception.

A vote for Corzine is a vote for continued corruption in this State. The Democrats control this State and are responsible for most of the corruption. The Republicans are not clean either but it is time to get rid of these long time political bosses. Can anyone say Joe Doria? Where is he been hiding? Corzine and his pals are protecting him! I think the majority of voters in this State are idiots and just vote for the party! Just look at the morons in Perth Amboy who defended their former mayor who was busted for corruption. Oh, he did a lot for the town. So, as long as he does okay for the town it's okay to be a crimiinal and pillage the town tresery. This is the mindset in the big cities in this State.

I agree with you josephzman63. The people of NJ make their bed so they can sleep in it! The only problem is they jump ship and move to Delaware to get away from the high taxes then they start to vote in the tax and spend democrats here, and now our taxes and fees are going up! The people of NJ are like termites ruin one state then move onto the next!

Newspapers disclosed Corzine paid head of black ministers counsel $87,000 in north jersey, and a black minister in south jersey with a congregation of about 28,000 a total of $975,000 to buy more votes. I,m sure he will bus in all the inner city voters knowing if they don't vote for him Christie will stop the gravy train. Also he has told union leaders to get the word out that if they don't vote for him, Christie will take away their jobs. Can you say dirty politics.
